When I read the story awhile back of Brian & his dad at MSG....I felt it was very sweet story.... :wub:
And Adam himself saying playing MSG was one of his dreams is very special indeed :flowers:
Totally agree....where each of us is seated can effect our perspective of the show....
Each of us is having a uniquely different personal overwhelming Queenbert experience.....
I am so happy I was not too close to be in the champagne stream :haha:
Yet close enough to see his eyes and the whole arena standing ...cheering....singing.... stomping...
It was an amazing beautiful experience watching the couch antics & the disco ball sparkle :wub:
I think Adam has had us all...in the palm of his hands :wub:
And...when Brian appeared wearing shirts from various cities....it was a very touching gesture to that crowd...
So proud and happy that Adam & Brian have given a heartfelt thank you to all of the cities.....
Yes...it is true there is much importance for MSG/ NYC show.... :thumbs: :thumbs:

In follow up to Vista Diva's review, I too went to the Las Vegas (my first time seeing Adam and Queen live). Someone :whistling: talked me into it, saying the venue was the smallest on the tour and more intimate. The first night I was lucky to have second row seats on the side. The sound even at close range was stellar! And there is nothing - NOTHING I TELL YOU - that compares to being this close to Adam when performs. That man is like a drug. Or chocolate. You can never get enough. Great show of course!
Second night in LV seats were further back and I had some very annoying people around me. Still great show but didn't enjoy it as much as the first night.
I live 20 mins. outside of Philly so I HAD to go to that show. My seats were pretty far back so I had a great view of all the lights, lasers, etc. I was a dead center so that might have factored into the sound for that night. Because although I felt he held back a little on some songs, the "power" vocals absolutely blew me away. I have seen Adam perform live quite a few times and NOTHING prepared me for WWTLF this night. I've never heard anything like it. I truly mean that.
When I woke up the next morning, I felt like if I didn't go to New York to see the BIG show I'd be missing something really great. So being the insane person I am, I grabbed my other insane Adam friend and we bought tickets and drove 3 hours in traffic to MSG. I sat right in front of Vista Diva and met her lovely son (who I'm sure thinks I am just as nuts as she is.)
The energy was SO different from Philly. The crowd was SO into it. Adam was definitely more animated this night and, for me, Somebody to Love was a complete VOCAL MASTERPIECE. WWTLF and Love Kills were great but in Philly these two songs SLAYED me. Maybe it's because I was seated on the side at MSG rather than center.
Anyway, from someone who initially had no desire to see Adam with Queen, I sure have changed my tune. The show is awesome!!!

I thought STL
was stellar at MSG, as was WWTLF, but I found Love Kills a little underwhelming, as well as TSMGO, usually my favorites. I was sitting on the side, so I thought perhaps there was some distortion. The best acoustics, for me, was both nights in LV.
What I absolutely LOVED about MSG was that it felt like Adam's crowd. They came alive whenever he entered. My Adam virgin friend seemed so excited, and said "He's absolutely adorable!" An understatement.

So agree with you about the sound in Vegas. That venue has the most incredible acoustics. No mater where you sat (or stood) the sound was stellar. I now understand why they wanted to play there rather than one of the larger arenas.

Just expressing my thoughts and comments.
I actually was feeling kind of bad after reading the NY reviews and kept thinking of 31 flavors. I always bring people's likes and dislikes back to why there's chocolate and vanilla. It just wasn't their favorite flavor. I was annoyed that they just didn't get it!!!
However, I was lifted up earlier in the week from a coworker at the LA show who I unexpectedly bumped into there before the show. He is a Queen fan but he had heard about my passion for Adam & wanted to see what this show was all about.
When I saw him at work a couple of days later he said to me, My Boy, put on an impressive show and that he would go see him again. He originally had a seat way in the back but he got up and looked for a better seat and said he was lucky to find one. My Boy < <3 :haha: It warmed my heart.
Another female coworker saw the MSG show last night & tweeted that the show was Awesome! She knows my love for Adam and gets a kick of it. I think she is a Glambert but doesn't want to admit it. I can't wait to see her face next week. I have a feeling she will have that touched by an Angel look!!! BTW she's from Cali and traveled to NY.
These 2 people are popular in the local news industry so I am happy they finally saw the light that Adam brings into my life and others. Hopefully they will spread the word.
Slow and Steady. OK, I am over the rotten reviews after having some ice cream!!!

qal at msg! a dream fulfilled for the band and a lot of the audience, including me :)
i was on the floor amidst equal parts glamberts and queen fans. everyone, and i mean everyone, was smiling, dancing, singing, clapping, and having FUN! even the burly security guard (facing away from the stage, toward the side) was singing along and peeking up at the video screens B)
things that were different in person compared to videos and streams:

brian's solo was beautiful and riveting to me in person. i was planning a bathroom break during that time but just couldn't leave!
adam's sing along was actually a lot of fun. on video it makes me feel awkward :ph34r: especially when he gets too "advanced" but it was actually super funny in person and he was just charming. everyone around me was laughing.
the drum battle was awesome! it was vibrating my whole body, msg was shaking! so exciting to feel that in person.
adam's presence during the first part of the concert (the heavier and harder rock portion) was... WHOA. i've seen him perform before but he was just so powerful and intense. he was commanding my attention. so impressive. he still shocks the hell out of me after all these years.[/indent]
