Their Wiki says 19,319, I've been told around 5K seats and the rest lawn making 15K.

it's funny or not ...but being a numbers person like marie.......sometimes in the middle of the night i will start adding up the proceeds of the actual concert + potential mech revenue and just try to figure out what adam will make at the end of this tour..........and we are not talkin' Europe/South Africa/South America...etc....potential.......always love the breakout earnings $$$$ at year's end and the Idol comparison.....think adam is going to give Carrie a run for her $$$$$$... :haha:

"This is where the expertise of Forbes comes into play. They have analysts in every industry, and so have formulas to calculate the expense to revenue ratios. They can tweak their numbers to account for smaller and bigger events, etc.

Some of the QAL expenses are one-timers; designing and building of sets and lighting systems, etc. Some are accrued with each event; transport, accommodations for traveling crews, pay for local crews, venue fees, secondary musicians (although this one could also be an up-front negotiated amount for the whole tour as well) etc. Merchandise is probably licenses to sub-contractors, with royalties paid to the artists in some agreed-upon split based on the items sold. Still, I imagine revenues from merchandise may equal or exceed ticket revenues and things like t-shirts have a very high margin associated with them, so likely the royalties paid will be a fairly high percent. I would estimate that the income from merchandise will add at least 40-60% to the total ticket revenue take. The longer the tour in a specific geographic region, the more the ratio slides in favor of revenues over expenses, so them adding dates and cities in the northeast has probably been good for them in terms of marginal income and ROI.
My gut feel is that the total revenues from this tour (so far) will be at least $100M (USD), and that after expenses, the pre-tax income left will be ~$50-60M (USD). I assume the primaries are not just Brian, Roger, and Adam, but Deacon and Freddie's estate as well. I have no idea how they've negotiated the split between the primaries, but no matter how it's done, I think it will be a very good pay-day for everyone involved. When the Forbes list that covers this particular year comes out, it will be interesting to see what Adam's share is, since they cover Idol Alums and he's always in the top 4-5 of money earners. I suspect he'll be in the top 3 for this time period, and maybe in the top 2, considering this is an off-year for Kelly Clarkson due to her pregnancy and birth of their daughter. The entities that keep track of concert revenues will also periodically give updates (as has already been done with the Las Vegas events), although those are frequently just an estimate of ticket take. The Forbes protocol will take much more into account according to industry standards.

Also, just my opinion, but I think there will be a QAL tour arm that takes place in 2015, and since the Forbes cycle is May to May, much of Adam's stated numbers will be specifically for this tour, so that should help to back-engineer better total tour numbers. Of course if he releases his era 3 album in 2014 or the first quarter of 2015, that could muddy the water a bit, but there are good billboard numbers on that to help keep it fairly well separated..."
