Thanks so much for posting all of the close-up videos. I attended this concert, but Adam was smaller than my thumbnail from where we were sitting.
Looks like the party's over in this thread, but for those interested:
It was a full house. The crowd was very diverse-- men, women, grey hair, florescent pink hair. Most people in our area were very mellow concertgoers, relaxing in their lawn chairs and having a few beers with friends. Everyone was on their feet for the first few songs. When the acoustic section started, folks in the back sat down and went into picnic mode, many chatting amongst themselves. Some even left a few minutes before the concert ended to beat the traffic. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, but I found myself wondering how many of the people around me actually understood what an extraordinary voice they were hearing.
As good as the videos are, they do not come close to representing the sound of Adam Lambert's live voice. Sound at the venue was great; the band holds together very well and his voice filled up the space effortlessly. Best vocal=Sleepwalker. My friend's favorite=Fever. Sure Fire Winners and Aftermath seemed to get the most attention from the crowd in the back.
They used a large fabric backdrop to project images, but it disappeared after the first act. Might have been the wind--hard to keep things in focus. Lasers were fun. Costumes, dancers, etc. were pretty much lost on us at that distance.
Had a great time and looking forward to seeing a second show in July--I'll be much closer to the stage for that
