Okay, finally caught up. Here we gooo:
We ended up driving up to Kansas City on Wednesday night. We drove past the venue several times but didn't see anybody. We ended up getting there the day of the show at about 8am. There were about 10 people ahead of us, some of who had camped out the night before.

Waiting 11 hours outside was insane. I'm from Colorado, and am not used to humidity *at all*. My dad and I were dying all day. Everybody kept telling me that my dad is amazing for waiting out all day with me, even though he's not a die-hard fan. Most of the people around us were very nice. :D

There ended up being a lot of confusion about the line. Somebody further up came down and told us that apparently if you go to the bar and buy 2 drinks then you get in 5 minutes ahead of everybody else. We had called the venue earlier and they had said there was no early entry line, so everybody was confused. It turns out that the whole bar thing was true, but I'm 16 and they wouldn't let me in. So if you showed up at 4 pm and went through the bar, then you got in before people who had camped out. It wasn't fair, but there was nothing we could do about it.

We saw a bus go around the corner, and we thought it could possibly be Adam's and so we walked where it had turned. It turns out it was the production bus. We all lined up a respectful distance away. Neil came off the bus and the lady next to me screamed "Neil!" and took his picture, and then he yelled "NO!" at her. I just waved at him, didn't say one word, haha. We never saw any other buses, so they must have gone around the back because nobody saw them. We never saw the WBC protestors because they didn't show up until after the doors were opened and they were gone before the concert was out. I was so happy we missed them.

Finally, after waiting 11 hours, the doors finally open. I am so excited at this point. The tickets are scanned and then we go to the door to the standing room and the tickets have to be checked again to make sure they aren't tickets to the balcony, and everybody was crowding around this one dude. It was scary. Eventually we get through and I rush to the front of the stage, 3rd row. While it's all one floor, about 10 rows back it's raised about a foot off the ground so you could see over people's heads. My dad got first row on the raised part. I started getting really nervous in 3rd row on the lowest part because I had so many tall people ahead of me, I couldn't see anything. Eventually I chose to move back with my dad and it was the PERFECT SPOT. You could see everything perfectly, you were almost eye-level with Adam, and there was a railing right in front of you. I was so relieved I had moved.

Eventually Allison starts. She's pretty good, but there was no "WOW" factor for me. I could hardly understand any of what she was singing. She goes off, and about 40 minutes later, the lights dim. The crowd goes crazy.

FYE comes on, and the whole crowd is singing along. My heart is racing so fast at this point. The picture changes and it gets even louder. Adam appears at the top of the stairs and the crowd is nuts. My legs are literally shaking at this point and I realize that my mouth is hanging wide open.

I cried during Down The Rabbit Hole. I think I was just so amazed that Adam was so close to me, his presence was overwhelming, I just started crying. It was embarassing. ROF comes on, the crowd *loves* it. My dad said that it was amazing. Fever was sexy hot, no Adommy kiss but it was still amazing. I cried again during WWFM and again during Aftermath. The crowd seemed to really love Strut, too. During MA Monte jumped down into the crowd and the crowd went even crazier! He had trouble getting back up though, so he had to go around the side of the stage and up the stairs. After the song Adam laughed at him and gave him a high five, it was adorable. During IIHY Adam had us sing along which was really fun, and the whole floor was jumping, it was crazy and amazing.

Adam leaves stage but the lights stay off and the crowd is going WILD. People are screaming and plugging their ears and it's insane. I scream as loud as I can, and after what seems like a long time he finally comes back out and sings WLL. Sexy doesn't begin to describe it.

My dad heads out while I go to the merch line and buy a T-shirt and poster. The merch line was PACKED with people. My legs were KILLING me from being outside all day and standing for so long. However, it was totally worth it. Also, because of where we were standing, it seemed like Adam made eye contact with us several times, we were so close. My whole body was shaking, no joke. I kept changing from crying to a huge grin on my face to just having my jaw hanging wide open.
My dad and I were talking about the show on the long car ride home today and he said he loved it. He said that Adam is VERY in tune with the crowd, amazing vocals, and that he had woke up this morning with Fever stuck in his head, LOL.

Last night was the best night of my life. It's so amazing...you don't truly understand until you see it yourself. I fully understand how people can go to every freaking show because it's just...you can't describe it. Adam's presence is like none other.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE TICKETS, GET SOME. YOU HAVE TO SEE IT. NO EXCUSES. PEOPLE DON'T EXAGGERATE WHEN DESCRIBING HOW AMAZING THIS IS.

Okay, just got home from KC and finally got internet access again. This was my first time seeing Adam live and OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
Let me just say to LightLovePeace – Thank you so much Barbara for letting me buy your extra tickets from you. The seats were amazing and I believe I have converted my 21 year old daughter to be an Adam fanatic! She was always a fan, but I think she will be obsessed as she already asked when our next concert is. She didn’t know that I have tickets to go again on August 7th and I purchased one for her knowing that once she saw him, she would want to repeat the experience. Please remember to let me know when you are coming to Branson! :flowers:

For the show, we made sure we were blasting “Aftermath” as we went into the parking garage across the street from the protesters. We have a friend that works in the restaurant across the street from the theater, and he was outside having a cigarette when we arrived. We waved to him and he just laughed when he heard us playing Adam. He told us later that one of the protesters asked him what that music was. He said – oh that was pure love. Since you are so focused on hate, you wouldn’t recognize it. <3

We had 2nd row balcony seats – and I can’t even begin to describe how amazing Adam is. I am a child of the 70’s and have seen all the big names in concert you can imagine. Let me just say, Robert Plant’s WLL does not hold a candle to Adam – and Freddy Mercury was a spectacular showman and Adam is doing a wonderful job continuing the show. I haven’t felt such a magnetic presence since Freddy passed away.

Incredible vocals, amazing showmanship, excellent dancing, and we left feeling satisfied, yet wanting more. It’s like the feeling you get on an incredible amusement park ride, you just want to get back in line again once the ride is over. You can never get enough!

And yes for those of you wondering - the glambulge was completely visible from the balcony. :haha:

Do whatever it takes to get tickets, you will not regret it.
