Hey everyone! I'm awake and fresher than ever! I'm going to start from the minute I woke up to the end of my day. First of all it was CHAOTIC. Couldn't believe the bullcrap that happened to me. To start off, I get out of the shower and I had this whole routine thing going. So first on my list was my nails and toenails. Bad thing was I LOST MY BLACK NAIL POLISH! I was franctic so I called my mom to buy me more. She said no. I call my friends, no one owns any black nail polish so I used a substitute of dark purple and put many coats on. Lol. Then I do my hair and I'm in the bathroom for about 30 minutes or so and I come out and my dog decided to recreate Adam's Infinity symbol on my floor! So I had to clean that up. Then told mom and she started yelling at me and telling me I was irresponsible. After that, I go on the computer until I'm ready to do my makeup in a couple of hours.

Now, my friend Nicole W. (I have two Nicole friends so I'll put the first letter of their last name so you guys can differentiate between the two.) shows up with her tickets for her and Nicole M. We hang out and stuff. Then my mom brings home Taco Bell! (YAY!) but she continues to yell at me about the stain and insulting me and screaming at me. I'm like "I just wanted to have a nice day. It's my Adam concert." So we eat in silence and when we are about ready to leave, we forgot to put on the strap on my camera. The stupid thing wouldn't go through. So at this point, we're running a little behind schedule. So we tell Nicole W to figure it out on the way there. Lol. The ride was okay until we got to the strip. Taxi drivers are VERY rude.

This is the part where we got lost. We accidentally pull into Valet and they direct us god knows where for self-parking. And traffic is slow and my ears were hurting from all the Taxi's honking at us. (Meanwhile, my mom has a very short temper.) We finally make it and we heard Adam at soundcheck. SQUEAL! I'm excited as ever. We find the box office to redeem our tickets and head out in line. Luckily, they only had one but since it was so long, they decided to make another line facing the opposite direction and we were pretty close. While waiting, I met up with a fellow poster here. :w00twave: Adam_Fan_Forever! Really sweet lady. It was so nice to talk to and be around my own kind ya know? :haha:

So finally they let us in. Me, Marie, Nicole W, Nicole M, and Jennifer all make our way close to the stage. We were like 10-15 from the stage and to the right. Great view imo. I was SO happy! The pool water was nice. My mom just recently sustained a broken wrist so was afraid to go in the water with us and around all those people (SUPER CHLOSTERPHOBIC) However you spell that. Lol. But you get what I mean. So she was by the bar in the back in the sand.

We listen to Allison who sounded amazing. (Got pics but almost ALL of them were fuzzy or out of focus. :/) The Nicole's kept telling David to take off his shirt. :lmao: They're weird but I love them. We met a nice lady who kept quizzing me on my 80's music knowledge. Lol. And then we meet this boy named Nick who was from New Mexico and has seen bb like 4 other times. He said he was a transexual but he really didn't look like one. :lmao: Kept flirting with Nicole M. though. Oh he also told us where to meet them and showed me a picture of him with LP. Really nice people. ^_^

Orianthi's set was forever and honestly to me, she sounded slightly off. But her guitar skills make up for it. Marie and Jennifer wandered off, leaving me and the Nicole's with Nick. They ended up at the VERY front where Adam actually acknowledged them. *JEALOUS* But I think he acknowledged us too because we looped our arms and made hearts with our hands and Nicole M had ADAM written on her palms. It was so creative and I'm pretty sure he saw us. Lol.

The only thing I have to complain about were my feet and how long it took for Adam to come on stage. I didn't boo but I was screaming "GET YOUR SEXY BUTT DOWN HERE! YOU'RE ALREADY PRETTY ENOUGH!" :haha: So they started playing FYE, Nicole M goes "Omg that picture of him is SO hot!" And she starts flailing next to me. Then AFL comes on and we scream our lungs out. Then Nicole M turns to me and screams at me and goes "HE IS SO HOT!!!" This was the one that wasn't all that enthusiastic about seeing him. :haha: I tried taking pictures but since my camera is so cheap, the only good ones I got were the ones where he wasn't really moving. Buy OMG HE IS UNREAL! I saw him come on stage and cameras do not do him justice at all. He was so perfect and human like and I couldn't believe it. My eyes were bulging. They were all very pretty. So we get to Fever and I start recording. About halfway through, a BIG security guard comes and investigates the chick with the nicer camera, asking her if she was videotaping. She was directly in front of me and he didn't see me recording AT ALL! It was hilarious in all honesty.

We get to the slower songs, and Nicole M is crying during WWFM and Soaked. I was too. Lol. Then we get to Aftermath and she goes, "This is by far my most favorite song by him. I LOVE IT. Great meaning." Or something like that. She was starstruck that's for sure. I just couldn't believe how pure his voice was and how amazing it sounds live. You can feel the power of his voice in your chest and your ears. When he does his long high notes, Nicole M screams at me, "OMG I JUST HAD AN ORGASM IN MY EAR!" I think she left a fellow Glambert after that concert. Nicole W. Not so much. She's still the same. Which I don't get. She really only liked IIHY. But oh well I tried. I was having so much fun and screaming my lungs out. Meanwhile, my feet are KILLING me. I had been standing up for 4 hours straight now. And I had to go pee really badly but I wasn't going to let those things ruin my mood.

When it ended, I was so sad. I didn't know what to do with myself. My friends were trying to pull me away because I was rooted to the spot. Clutching my camera. We got to the barricades and about 20 people were there and security kept yelling, "Adam Lambert will not be coming out tonight so if you could please vacate this area." Some determined skanks were sitting on the stairs ignoring him. :P But my mom really wanted to go home so we didn't stay long. Oh and Nicole W caught one of Orianthi's picks. *Jealous* And I was super close to catching Tommy's picks. Here is one picture of each member besides Camilla and LP. (Was too short and they were sort of hidden from me. Lol. )

And here is me and the Nicoles. Me (left) Nicole M (Middle) Nicole W (Right) Some drunk guy with his wife took the picture for us. Lol

Oh and I forgot to add!
When I get up to my mom, I ask her how it was and she says, "He sounded great. I could barely see anything though but his voice was good. I didn't like how he changed the key in WWFM, Mad World, and IIHY. Sounded like he had Vegas Throat. Made the key lower and wasn't hitting all his high notes. He looked so skinny though. Like REALLY skinny. I guess the camera really does add 10 pounds. But the one thing that was big and clear to me was his d*ck. The whole time."

callmecrazy' date='Aug 1st 2010, 3:58 PM

Yeah it was hilarious. I burst out laughing in front of everyone and all she did was smirk. I'm like, "Well what can I say. It's really hard to hold back 9 inches in tight pants." We all started laughing. Me, my mom, and Nicole W. (Nicole M went with Marie and Jennifer)

And thanks Kerli! I was so happy! I was like, "Awwww fck!" when Adam didn't kiss Tommy. But I'm glad we got the dry humping. :icecream:

my recap 4 this thead
as far all the dramas. last nite I am gonna blame twitter, for this :bleh:

lock out on adam communications is drama for the soul
and someone having 2 deal with a homophobe as first intel...and nothing for hours after, 2 balance out all reviews from the concert right away, seemed create a bit of a downer for some

but facts 4 me
People in fact enjoyed themselves, (wish this would have came directly after,(twitter down) knowing this, I don't think it would have been time for people 2 stew in their own panicky juices)
Adam performed steller as usual..
the high far away Staging seemed 2 affect a few reg. concert goers connectivity IDEK?
People in fact enjoyed themselves
Longer than usual time delays, (many rumors as 2 why abound)
Sound guy needed a kick in the nuts, (this is not 1st sound mix issue)
Drunk people and AFL do not mix or do mix? I have do more research on that :haha:
Twitter needed a kick in the nuts, (although hopefully they upgraded their servers,4 less down
time)

I will be honest, (and this is my observation over a years time) one thing that does sadden me sometimes as a Adam fan, is people quick jump on negative as facts, without waiting for all views and perceptions before forming a solid opinion. Not saying because its negative its not true, but when the percentage is so low, waiting for more intel b4 making up your mind, if you have not seen with ur own eyes, or heard with ur own ears or witnessed, whatever said event(and this has 2 do with all things, gossip, news, rumors,) makes sense..

Wow! There certainly have been a lot of diverse opinions about last night's show, so I may as well add my two cents worth too. :)

Since I was not there I am not going to comment on whether Adam connected or disconnected with the fans but I am going to comment on the sound system. In MHO there was something definitely wrong, because if you listen very closely to the videos especially WLL you will hear feedback when he goes into his upper register. I may be wrong, but I don't think Adam has his own sound system and must rely on the reliability of the venues systems and unfortunately they don't always have things in tip top shape. Also not every sound engineer out there is compatible. I've seen where the sound check and the actual performance are different cause the soundman has changed it to what he wants to hear and not how the band wanted it set up. This really pisses off a band let me tell you. So if Adam was mad he had every right to be. There is nothing diva about that at all. After all people are paying good money to see the show and Adam wants to give nothing but 100% to his fans.

I personally loved this version of WLL. There was something very emotional in the way it was sung and if you closed your eyes you could totally lose yourself in it. But then again not everyone will get it.

Adam's voice was still stellar last night although he definitely was holding back. Either it was due to the sound system or he was resting his vocal cords from the really high notes. Adam has already had to rest his vocal cords once before on Drs. orders so he may be mellowing out as a precaution as his talking voice is hoarse. After all he has just done 3 straight shows ( with San Diego being the one where he let it all hang out) and another one tonight I believe without a day off. He may have also just been plain worn out, but this I doubt he would let show. The security guard did say he was not feeling well too. So who really knows but Adam himself and I think we should all give him a break with the criticism. Sometimes I think too much is expected of him and people forget he is human too.!

MonicaJM2001' date='Aug 1st 2010, 4:52 PM

I think alot is being over analyzed or dramatized. I was there last night and it was incredible. The crowd at least in my area was nuts the whole concert. I like that Adam swtiches things up from concert to concert. I was on the side in the water where "YellatSoundGuy Gate" happened and we had a great view. I've been to the Indio show and now this one (not counting AI tour) and I feel like Adam makes it unique for each show. I don't think of it as OMG I feel cheated of this or that......Last night was so worth flying over there and back today for AZ show.

sunrise123' date='Aug 1st 2010, 5:06 PM

WELL!! I just wanted to say well done AFL for a fabby night in Vegas (even though I was nowhere near the continent!!)
Firstly, there was a completely justified reason for the long delay – allegedly a 10 year old child was missing . If so , for child protection reasons this could not be relayed to the audience. We all know that the sequins can hold him up on a normal night, but this was a REALLY GENUINE REASON for the delay. So Adam STARTED with a pee’d off audience .
Secondly – he’s obviously sick. According to PF half of California has flu. Gorgeous Madam has only been in California three days and she’s sick. So sick, she couldn’t last the whole show in LV. Now we know that airlines, customs, car thefts and security guards cannot hold M back from seeing Adam – so clearly this virus is HUGE. Adam was obviously croaky and it was clear in WLL that he sang as much as possible in his lower register( much applauded by Slash and others) so that he was still able to produce an astounding effort that only MEGA FANS recognised as deficient in stellar top notes. Many other artists might have called the concert off. Monte seemed especially encouraging to him and giving him credit for going on with the show.
Thirdly- Adam was really excited about The LV show – see radio interview and Danielle’s tweet (actually I really don’t spend much time on these forums !!!). His best friends were coming to the show , so he had every reason to want to do his best and must have felt so rubbish at not being on top form.
Something was up with the sound. We all know Adam is a complete perfectionist about this as is every top singer, actor and performer. If you are trying to perform when sick – this must be a complete killer.( I’m sure being the sound guy must be the worst job in the world as every venue has different issues!)
Notwithstanding ALL of the above hassle , Adam put on a show which left loads of people - and lots of newbies - feeling they had experienced a fantastic show. How about that for being a pro!

My friend (who is still sleeping btw) was extremely impressed last night. She is so not a fan of Adam, does not know his music and could never see why I am so into him, but she jumped and danced in the water like a long time fan. She said he is extremely good live, and kept telling me how much fun she was having. Now she needs to wake the f%ck up so we can get out of this room.

Waking up in vegas after a dream night with Adam under the stars. The concert was nothing short of what I dreamed it would be. The venue was beautiful and Adam was hot and gorgeous. Extra special treat seeing Adam walk the pathway leading to the stage. You could see his silhouette with the feather on his tophat and when the crowd saw that they went wild with screams and cheers.
Wonderful memories of another fantastic Glam Nation performance!

I rarely post here, mainly a lurker :/ but just wanted to share that I saw Adam leaving Mandalay Bay at 3:30 am. He was with Neil, who had been wandering around the elevator area for about an hour, talking on his phone here and there. There was absolutely no one else around, not meaning fans, just no one!! Adam was wearing a beanie, his sunglasses, a tank top, jeans and his backpack. I really didn't want to bother him, so didn't approach him, but as he passed me, I just said, Bye Adam, thanks for such a great show..He replied "thank you' and kept on walking. I watched him walk a good long way through the lobby and past the check in desk until he and Neil turned to go down to the lower level out to the buses.
This was the perfect ending to my 3rd (and final :( ) show of this tour and I truly didn't want it to end.
Today is a crash day for me and Adam's recent twitter party made me feel better!!
PS also had pics taken with Tommy and Monte, saw Sasha and LP too :)

vistadiva' date='Aug 1st 2010, 9:26 PM

Thanks Joooory...more vids!!

Is it absolutely sick that I will have 70-odd versions of WLL downloaded to my I-POD by the time this tour is over??? :haha: :haha: :haha:
...
My grown son...who thinks I have just lost it and am certifiable.... was working on my laptop the other day and opened my I-Tunes....

Son: Mom, what's wrong with your music library?

Me: What do you mean?

Son: Well, you have something called WLL on here multiple times

Me: Oh..yeah, I know....

Son: Well, do you want me to fix it? I can delete the duplicates

Me: :fear: :fear: Well, they are not EXACTLY duplicates. Actually they are not duplicates at all..each one is different

Son: Oh, yeah...I see some have cities after the name or weird things like "Nokia"..what is that?

Me: :o :o nothing...nothing...are you finished yet..let's go out to dinner
On another note...just my 2 cents about the Vegas show...the only thing I noticed watching vids was that he didn't go for the high screaming notes...example:

In Fever, around 2:18 he does the "you burn me up burn me up...baby you're M...I...N...E." That mine is always a high long note. Not last night. Also some of the high screaming notes in Strut were not there.

I think he may have been a little hoarse and was just protecting his voice. Great performance non the less.

I read back a couple pages but haven't read the whole thread yet. I thought Vegas was a fantastic show!! :w00t: I loved every single song. I danced and sang and had a great time! Aftermath was the highlight of the show - so beautiful. Soaked was incredible. Sleepwalker gorgeous. WWFM lovely. OMG the joy radiating from Adam during IIHY was palpable.

The crowd had lots of guys, young people, gay couples. Quite a diverse group. People were loving the show around me.
My sister watched AI and Allison was her favorite with Adam second. She raved about Adam on the drive back home to Phoenix and wanted to know who wrote each song and the names. We relived the concert by playing each song like the setlist. She said IIHY was stuck in her head all morning and Soaked gave her chills. I gave her the cd for Christmas and she said she plays it every once in awhile. Way bigger fan now. My husband said he was totally entertained and satisfied and it was worth the 5 hour drive. :icecream:

That hour delay was pretty weird - I'm glad there was an explanation for it. The crowd got a little nasty and starting booing. Adam more than made up for it with the super sexy WLL. :bleh: I met a glittery Callmecrazy in line based on the description of her shirt on here. :haha: Hi Alyssa!!! I also saw Tommy before the show - poor guy was trying to hurry and fans were mobbing him!! I checked on the line about 2:30 and there were about 30 people at that time but it was sooooo hot. We didn't end up coming back until 7:00 and that was the hottest, sweatiest line up and I was worried about heatstroke. I was melting and very uncomfortable.

I thought Allison was great but difinately not a better performer than Adam by a long shot. Orianthi was o.k. but I would have preferred more Allison. I realized my camera was broken before the show so didn't get pics or video. GRRRR!!

I can't wait to relive the show through the wonderful videographers. Thank you all!!

One more thing about the show...

SW which is a favorite of mine was just made even eerier by the wind making his coat billow around him... The wind seemed to be in sink with him and as he got angrier and angrier the wind whipped his coat around him with more frenzy... He couldn't have staged it better if he were in charge of the wind... Maybe he is?

Seeing Adam here in my hometown was FUN! I was worried about the venue for months but after getting in there it was really cool. When it got dark the setting was beautiful. For Vegas the night wasn't as hot as normal but it was a bit more humid. Adam did take longer coming on stage but I bet he was meeting people and doing interviews and stuff. It was a bit unsettling to hear the boo's but they were just directed at FYE not starting and another song instead. As soon as he emerged that was forgotten. The opening Medley was great and it was just so amazing for me to see Adam in my hometown. He was larger than life up there in this setting. He did take his jacket off before DTRH since I'm sure he was roasting. Adam got a bit off track during Fever because he forgot to take his top hat off. I guess since he had his jacket off already he spaced it. The top hat distracted him during the Tommy/Adam part in Fever so I'm sure that was why he got mixed up. Sleepwalker was amazing!! To me he sounded great on everything accept the acoustic songs (except WLL) and his speaking voice. He did go over to the sound guy I think at least two times. I'm not sure if things were okay for him since one time he sang off from the back tracking. When I tweeted about the sound issues it was only because in the section I was in he had the helium affect so bad. His voice was nothing like he normally sounded. The diehards around me were concerned as I was. It was not Adam's fault it was something beyond his control. The strange thing is that I talked to someone else there and they said he sounded completely normal. When I watched the video for WWFM taken from the opposite side of the pool he sounded great as usual. That makes me happy but what a weird thing to experience. People on the Idol tour would say that about the helium affect in Starlight and I could never understand what they meant since the vids were always good. Regardless of what our little section heard at times, He was a star up there and the crowd loved him. They had a record crowd from what I heard so I'm super proud of him. I really don't think he was sick because in Tempe he sounded soooo good and went for it on every song, he was on fire. I think the fact that Tempe was show #3 combined with all the notes he hit during his set was why he only did MW, not because the crowd wasn't into it, they were insane.

The past 2 days seeing Adam have been incredible and I'm finding it very hard to get back to my real life. This was a week I will never forget.

As for major details, I need to go back and watch it all again! It's like I saw everything but I just can't process it all until I see the vids lol.

I was at the Vegas show standing in the water getting an amazing view of Adam the band and his dancers. He was incredible and I did not leave disappointed whatsoever. The crowd did boo at the long wait but now we know it wasn't Adam's doing at all and once he it the stage the crowd was his. I am sorry some other people didm't enjoy it as much. I don't know, sometimes I think people are looking too much into every single move Adam makes or word he sings and if it is even slightly different than what they know from the past, they seem to hit like some kind of panic button and think Adam is crashing and burning right in front of them.
I don't mean to keep this going but since I am so late in my being able to respond, from where I stood at least, he had a very successful night in Vegas!

I'm really just a lurker here and I just got back home and was really surprised to read the negative things about the concert.

My mother and I were at the concert but we were on the sand at the back because my mom injured her foot a week before the concert and couldn't move around too much.

Adam was amazing and everyone was screaming and jumping and just having a great time. The only negative thing was that it took so long for him to come on and some people started booing wanting him to start. Once he got on the stage those same people were rocking out. The only people I saw leave early were parents with children and older people who were probably tired, everyone else was having a great time.

When he finished and we were leaving I could hear people around me saying how amazing his performances were and how good he looked. Everyone I talked to after the show loved the concert.

Also the people I talked to had never seen him perform live before and didn't know what to expect from this concert. They were blown away by how good he is live.

It is the only video she took. Said if she realized what the quality would be like she would have filmed more.

I was at this show. Some observations:
-HUGE crowd. When we were standing in line waiting to go in I asked one of the security guys if it's like this for all the shows. He said "Oh no! I've worked here 6 years and I've never seen anything like this!!!!". He said they were caught off-guard and weren't even sure how to handle the huge amount of people who showed up early to get in line to get in.
-DIVERSE crowd. I saw people of all ages (kids to senior citizens), races (alot of Asians and African-Americans as well as Caucasions), men (both straight & gay) and economic backgrounds (you could tell some in the audience were very wealthy). There were alot of women but many of them brought their boyfriends/husbands and the guys seemed to be enjoying the show, too.
-I did notice the "helium" effect when Adam talked and during the acoustic songs. I thought it was just that his voice is higher in person but after reading some other posts here it seems like it was an audio mixer problem.
-Adam seemed kinda tired and sounded hoarse but I was right up front and could literally see him feeding off the energy and response from the crowd...I could see how much it perked him up as the show went along.
-At the end when he was taking the group bow and then again after he did his encore, I could see him looking over the crowd, just basking in the response and really "taking it in". You could very clearly see on his face how pleased he was and how much this all means to him...he almost gets misty eyed.
-Walking out, the comments were all positive. I heard alot of people who didn't seem to be big fans before (they had come with people who were) saying how impressed they were and that he is a really great singer and performer.
-Adam excels at drawing the crowd in. I saw David Cook in concert last summer. Don't get me wrong, I like David & his music but the energy was way different. At David's show, the crowd mostly sat and even when he encouraged people to sing along or stand, they didn't. Everyone was on their feet at Adam's show, dancing and singing. He had everyone singing the chorus to "If I Had You" and jumping up and down (literally) when he kept shouting "Jump", clapping along when he did his jumping jack move and pumping their fists when he did that. I even saw guys who had been dragged there my their girlfriends/wives actually joining in!
-I did wish he talked abit more between songs but with so many shows back-to-back I wonder if he's doing that to save his voice. Others liked that he didn't talk alot....one couple leaving behind me were saying that he kept the focus on the music by not doing a lot of chit chatting so I suppose it's a matter of preference.
-He is gorgeous in person. I went to the Idols Live show last summer but couldn't get close enough to the stage to really see him. This time it was a smaller venue and I was right up front.....he is lanky & skinny in person and even from a distance away you can see his magnificant eyes and his smile literally lights up the venue. He truly has a "larger than life" persona and just is a "Star".
-I loved all the songs....even some of the ones that aren't my favorites on the album sounded fantastic when he performed them live.
-He's a good dancer, too.
We can all rest easy....we will definately be getting a 2nd album, more touring, more tv appearances, etc. in the future. Adam isn't going anywhere but up!
-Let me add, if you get a chance at all to go to any of these shows he's doing now....GO! Because they are in medium-size venues you are able to see him closer up. I suspect his next tour will be booked in much larger venues and most in the audience will have to settle for watching him on the big concert screens so GO NOW while you have a chance to see him in a slightly more intimate setting!

Best (and only) Adam concert I've been to. :D
Passed out people on the sand, bored boyfriends, people talking loudly with other people during Adam singing, audience booing, and yet I had the best time ever and Adam sounded OUT OF THIS WORLD.
