So we finally have an answer to why there are video nazis

Adam had an impromptu Twitter party tonight and answered random questions:

@adamlambert Why so many video nazis at venues? Don't you like the fan vids? If ur mgmt doesn't like them, why don't they do it themselves?

@Glambert1904 I know!! My Mgmt has nothing to do w it though... It's the venue rules. I truly don't mind.

Adam Lambert brings the Glamor to Tempe

As undeniable as Adam Lambert's sense of showmanship was by the time he descended a pink-lit staircase singing "Feeling Good" in his star-making run on "American Idol," the singer's command of the stage has only gotten that much more impressive since his first post-"Idol" album, aptly titled "For Your Entertainment," arrived in late November.

Adam Lambert at the Marquee Theatre

He set the tone for a sold-out performance Sunday, Aug. 1, at Tempe's Marquee Theatre with a piped-in techno remix of the title track while building anticipation with a glamour shot of Lambert in a feather boa looking very Bowie-esque.

And that just made his entrance all the more dramatic when he did appear - at the top of a staircase in long purple tails with furry epaulets and fringes and a feathered top hat with a scarlet A emblazoned on the front, interacting with his dancers to the brooding synth-pop of "Voodoo."

The band took the energy level up a notch with the pulsating funk-rock groove of "Down the Rabbit Hole." The first of several songs to boast a laser light show, it ended with Lambert dropping to his knees at the top of the staircase as the music segued into the eerie psychedelic treatment of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" that he did on "Idol," his hip gyrations channeling another old Sun Records legend, Elvis Presley. By the time he lost the hat for "Fever," revealing a big enough pompadour to cover an entire rockabilly trio, it was hard to tell where Elvis Presley ended and Ann-Margaret began in the heavily made-up singer's stage moves - which, of course, has been part of his charm from the very beginning.

He brought the mood down for the melancholy drama of "Sleepwalker," and kept it there for an unplugged and seated performance of his Top 10 breakthrough, "Whataya Want From Me" - a bold move for a guy with only one hit, but if anything, it sounded better that way (or at least more heartfelt). An unplugged, piano-fueled "Soaked" showed off the more operatic side of Lambert's vocal range (again recalling Elvis) and led to yet another ballad, the inspirational "Aftermath," which boasted stunning high notes, loads of heart and possibly the pinkest lasers ever.

While his band mates settled into an extended instrumental jam, the singer slipped out for a costume change, returning in a vest with lapels and no shirt underneath to wail the high notes of the Def Leppard-esque "Sure Fire Winners," his pompadour as majestic as ever. After all those slow songs in a row, he wisely followed "Sure Fire Winners" with another upbeat dance track, "Strut," backed by dancers in Day of the Dead masks while he worked a cane into his stage moves. Once again, the high notes were phenomenal, and Lambert kept things moving with a song that may have been the highlight of the set, a spirited "Music Again" that made the most of the singer's upper register and featured some of the concert's most endearingly flamboyant dance moves. His latest single, "If I Had You," brought the proper set to a triumphant finish, with the audience belting out the chorus and the lasers going wild.

And when he came back to encore, instead of the obvious choice - his breakthrough album's title track - he dipped into his "Idol" bag of tricks to dust off his version of Tears for Fears' "Mad Love," which was noticeably faster (and not quite as good) as his "Idol" performance.

Speaking of "Idol," his opening act on the Glam Nation tour is another Season 8 contestant, the crimson-haired Allison Iraheta, who spent the season being pimped out as the "rocker chick" and made good on the title with a set that found her channeling Pat Benatar long before she made her way around to actually covering Benatar's "Heartbreaker." How Iraheta didn't make the "Idol" finals is a mystery, if not as big a mystery as how Kris Allen kept Lambert from taking it all.

This is my VERY short review. From what I remember Adam was fantastic!! Unfortunately therein lies the problem - my memory. I got too drunk and don't remember most of the show! Haven't done that in 20 years!! :"> I had a blast before someone gave me a shot of some kind of red liquid. Was so fun partying with friends and talking to everyone about Adam. Good thing I saw the phenomenal show in Vegas and can remember that. :w00t: My outfit was adorable and totally glam. Black skinny jeans, white eye of horus t-shirt, stripper heels, black vest and black/grey fedora - was very fun! My friend took som pics and video taped most of the songs but she's an extreme procrastinator - I'm still waiting for her Adam pictures from the AI tour. :haha:I went with 4 work friends and they all loved the show. The two guys (1 gay, 1 straight) didn't own the cd and they both say they are going to get it to support Adam.
MonicaJM2001' date='Aug 2nd 2010, 3:25 PM

I am still in my Adam daze, last night was THE BEST NIGHT EVER because I finally got to be face to face with Adam Lambert and be able to verbally express to him that he is BRILLIANT and then to hear him speak back!!!! (Barricades after the show.)

I know we AZ peeps might be lacking the the tweets, vids area but I promise that last night was stunning and AZ LOVED and EMBRACED him. I tried tweeting during Allison's set but it was just too distracting for me and honestly last night was my last chance to see Adam on this tour and I just wanted to be able to "soak" up every last ounce of the experience. He really is one of a kind vocally and showman wise. He had the entire crowd going nuts. During soaked he did that long pause towards the climax of the song and the place just erupted and it sustained even after he resumed singing it (which I kind of wish people had chilled for a sec) b/c his vocals are just so breathtaking and with that song I just want to listen. It really was a sweet moment when Monte hugged and then kissed Adam on the forehead towards the end of "Aftermath." I don't like to read to much into things but at the moment I did wonder if Adam was going through some sort of personal issue I mean for Monte to show that kind of support during that particular song did make me stop and think. Anyway whether it was just friendly interaction or something even deeper, I am just glad Adam has such awesome people touring with him for those inevitable rough patches. I just love the IIHY performance, it is just so much fun btw the Adam/Band, Adam/dancers, Adam/band/dancers and then Adam/audience/band/dancers. It is a perfect "fake" close to the show. After IIHY the place went crazy screaming for the encore, people were just jumping around in anticipation of Adam's return and when he did and began the upbeat sped up "Mad World" all heck broke loose again lol. Towards the last part of Mad world, I saw Monte start to take his guitar off of his shoulder so I knew then there would be no WLL lol. I kind of figured with how tiring it must be doing 3 shows in a row plus the heat of Vegas and Tempe that it could be a little much. Heck I was at the Vegas show and I am sooooo wiped out lol. I can't imagine how Adam feels. It was funny though b/c after they left the stage after Mad World the crowd like went into denial and erupted into screams for more, I think I heard some more chanting. The Marquee people are kind of at fault though too b/c they took their sweet time bringing the lights back on so maybe some had their hopes up that more was to come. ..............I will post more later.
MonicaJM2001' date='Aug 2nd 2010, 7:55 PM

I have said it before and I will say it again, Adam is just not human. To add to my earlier post/review thing, I went to this concert with 3 other friends. One friend I have gone to AI, Indio, Vegas and then last night and then two other friends who had never been to see Adam live but loved him from AI. One of my friends who doesn't even have Adam's CD yet so hadn't heard any songs except WWFM but was so eager to see him based on AI performances has had a few conversations with me in the past about how amazing he is. After the concert part, she pulled all of us into this little group huddle for the sole purpose of telling us that has been to many many concerts with big names in the past and that this was the best concert she has ever been to and he is the BEST singer she has EVER heard. It made feel so happy hearing her say this as sometimes I wonder if I am going nuts or if he is too good to be true but when I hear someone who isn't following Adam 24/7 make such a bold statement, and she was very serious, this lady is way into music and kind of (imo) a music snob so for him to impress her that way was a big deal in my eyes. More to come.....

Another review. http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/uponsun/2..._the_glam_t.php

Adam Lambert Brings the Glam to Marquee Theatre StageBy Nicki Escudero, Mon., Aug. 2 2010 @ 10:00AM

Marquee Theatre had one of the most interesting crowds it has probably seen in awhile when Adam Lambert and Allison Iraheta came to town last night. The sold-out audience was a mix of glitter-covered cougars, teenage girls and gay men, and the eyeliner was out in full force.

After the 18-year-old Iraheta got everyone warmed up with an energetic set that had her jumping and moving around all over the stage, Glambert played for an hour, squeezing in multiple costume changes that had him donning everything from a giant feather-decorated hat to leather pants to sparkly coats. He may have looked flashy, but he delivered on the vocals, reaching the high notes his theater background has made him famous for.

Here's what some of the audience members Tweeted after the show, and you can bet a lot of people were typing with black fingernail polish on.

@soldiersd2- Adam Lambert rocked the stage.
@s2y34- Adam Lambert was amazing!

@Reilly_P- Adam lambert is sooooooo amazing! What a rockin concert!!!

@OhYesYouDid- Adam Lambert has hypnotised everybody at tonights concert!

@Chris10_D- Best. Night. Ever. I can't believe Reilly and i met Adam Lambert. We're the happiest people on earth right now!

@Twilight_gurl69- Almost home from Adam Lambert concert it was AMAZING! I got Adams autograph

@kmabiophys- THE CONCERT WAS ADAMAZING!!! WORDS CAN NOT DESCRIBE! ADAM LAMBERT LOOKED AT ME SEVERAL TIMES!!!!! :DDDDD

@jmavalos4- Adam Lambert's Concert was the best! To top it off, Allison Iraheta also performed! :)

Tempe, Arizona Review.

The show in Tempe, Arizona was my first, but hopefully not my last, Adam GlamNation Tour show. The last time I saw him live was during the AI tour last summer almost exactly one year ago and he was the only reason I attended that show. I arrived at the venue about 5.30 p.m. and the doors opened at 7.00 p.m. A legal pad was passed down the line to record each person’s name and number in line and I was number 346. We were extremely fortunate with the weather! It was cloudy and decidedly “cool” for the Valley of the Sun in August. Around 6.30 p.m. rain clouds threatened in the distance but did not materialize, serving only to cool things down further. By the time I got inside the GA venue there was a crowd at least 10 deep crushing the stage. I made the decision, in the interests of making the standing experience more tolerable and because I am not very tall, to hang out by the barricades around the tech equipment in the back. The venue, being small with a sloping floor, affords a decent view from anywhere as long as you can see over peoples’ heads. Having the barricade gave me something to lean on and elevate myself with if needed. Later I figured out I could actually perch on the trash can behind me (quite clean with a fresh liner so no grunge) and use the barricade to prop myself up. That certainly helped my aching feet. So I traded a closer view of Adam for a bit more comfort and a better perspective of the stage and lasers.

I was delighted to see the diversity of the crowd from young children through the very elderly. One old gal was in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank attached. There was a high percentage of gay guys and gals of ALL ages, not just the young and hot, but also older gay men and women. Seeing Adam supported and loved to such an extent across generations and by the gay population made me very happy.

Allison’s set was high energy and a lot of fun. I was reminded yet again what a great voice she has. Since Orianthi was not there Allison’s set was extended to 40 minutes and flew by. The crowd cheered loudly and gave her lots of love. She seemed genuinely pleased. My only criticism of Allison was that I think she would benefit from taking a few lessons in enunciation. Whereas every word Adam utters is crystal clear Allison runs her words together making her lyrics frequently unintelligible.

Anticipation of Adam was palpable as his set approached. Having watched countless videos of the show I knew what to expect but it was obvious many there had no clue. Fan cheering became deafening as the lights dimmed and his feather haloed picture projected onto the screen. When he actually appeared at the top of the stairs to the opening strains of Voodoo it was thunderous. The venue may only have had a capacity of 1500 but the smaller confines reverberated with the noise. Not much I can add to the wonderful and varied descriptions we have all read of his performance. At times his voice seemed to lift the rafters off the building and make the walls bow outwards. I think perhaps in a larger venue or at an outdoor event some of that may be lost but I could be wrong. I subsequently read he may have been suffering from a sinus infection but if he was not feeling up to par it was perfectly concealed. The beautiful essence of his being beamed out at us all and he seemed very happy. A couple of times during the initial few songs I felt he was protecting his voice and bypassing some of the really high notes I knew he was capable of, but by the middle of the set he was in full stride. There was plenty of sexy hip action but less raunchiness than we often get. I just love the way he moves that sexy body of his even when he is not trying to be sexy. His physique was most impressive!!! If it was only possible I would do that man in a heartbeat!!! What he may have foregone in action he more than made up for in emotive facial expression. The performance was spectacular. To my mind there is simply no-one that compares to him and I could watch him every day ad infinitum. There is absolutely no comparison of the sound and his vocals live. As great as the videos seem they fall far short of the reality. He is off the charts live. Also, the videos do not even begin to do justice to the laser show. It is spectacular live and there is something to be said for being far enough back to get the full effect. There was relatively little Tommy action but Monte gave him the sweetest hug and pat on the back at the end of Aftermath and again when they walked off stage at the end of the show. His set was over much too soon. I wanted another hour at least. IIHY was an all encompassing power house of inclusion. My only disappointment was that the encore consisted of just Mad World and we did not get WLL. I REALLY wanted to see that live but, despite what seemed like sufficiently enthusiastic applause to merit the addition of that song, he did not perform it. Certainly, if he was not feeling all that great, or if his voice was feeling strained, that would account for the omission. When Monte un-slung his guitar at the end of MW and did not reach for the flying V I knew we were out of luck. In that sense, those who had no idea what to expect were not disappointed because they knew not what they missed.
It was a marvelously cool night with a half moon hovering above the venue so I decided to hang out with the folks by the bus barricades and see what would happen. The wait was interminable. Longineu came out to sign and take pictures with all who wanted them and was very sweet and accommodating. He is unexpectedly soft spoken and small. He looks much bigger on video. He assured us that all of the band would be out but Tommy and Monte never showed. Close to midnight, almost 2 hours after the show ended, Adam appeared to a flurry of enthusiasm. He still had on his stage makeup but on this occasion had no bindis or sparkles of any kind. His makeup seemed darker than normal around the eyes, which complimented his black hair. His hair and eyebrows seemed VERY black. He was backlit as he approached where I was standing and all I could do was stare at him in awe. It does not seem humanly possible for a man to be that beautiful. His profile and nose were exquisite. That nose is a work of art. He moved very rapidly down the line and was in front of me in no time. I wanted much more time to stare at him. Although I had planned to speak to him he was responding to a lady beside me who had been to several of his shows and it would have been rude to interrupt. I did get an autograph but he was past me and moving away before I could get a word in edgewise. From the end of the line he headed straight to his bus and it was obvious the exodus was underway so I walked to my car still in a daze and fully under Adam’s spell. So there you have my experience of Adam live.

Wow- I didn't realize there were so many Skanks at the Tempe show! I didn't get to meet any of you. Boo! I was up at the front of the line, having left Vegas at 2am to get a good spot. I ran into Tommy in Vegas as he was leaving the hotel and told him we were leaving and driving to the next show. He was checking out, and need help finding the lobby. LOL Anyway, it was hot and humid in Tempe, and it even rained on us. But it was worth every second. I was worried that my last show for a while was going to be a disappointment, and it was anything but! Adam and Monte really put on quite a show! I got alot of eye contact from Adam, he really sang whole phrases of songs while looking right at me! I really lost my sh*t a couple of times, event tho this was my nineth show! And Monte was on fire- he was killing it on guitar. The Monte/Adam moment was really special too; they really are good friends.
There was a huge crowd waiting outside the busses for Adam. I really wanted to say goodbye to Monte, Tommy, and LP, since this was my last show. LP came out first, and it was three deep at least at the barriers. But I found a spot, and called to LP, and he held his arms out, and asked people to make room for me to come up for a hug. We hugged and I got to say bye for now. Then a while later Adam came out and started signing for everyone. I walked along the back of the crowd, happy just to see him and hear him talking to the crowd. But then I noticed that there weren't many people at the end of the barricade, so I went down there, and got to say hi and thank you to Adam, and then watched him sign a girl's boob! :haha: Really fun. :) Then after just about everyone left, I saw Monte talking to someone, and when he saw me, he came over for a hug. I told him "thank you" for the awesome show, and then he had to get on the bus. Tommy never came out, but I had just talked him the night before (actually the same day LOL), and had spent some time with him in OC and SD. So I was really happy that I was able to see such a great show and see everyone before they head off across the country again! Great way to end my ten day/eight concert Glam Nation experience!!

I'm STILL grinning like an idiot, even three days later. I have also managed to infect my coworkers with my sparkle-madness and I think a few of them might be willing to be doused in glitter and dragged to a concert if he ever returns. :D

The concert was absolutely amazing. My sister and I decided to get completely glammed up and ended up showing up later than we would have liked (a bit after 5pm), but we were surrounded by a great group of people in line and the remaining time passed quickly. I was a bit worried about bringing my camera in - Marquee security has been ridiculously tight in the past - but they barely checked my sister's bag where it was stashed and waved us in after taking our empty water bottle away. SUCCESS!

As such, I was already elated when we reached the stage. We were about five or six people back and, once again, surrounded by some truly great fans. There was a spot of trouble after Allison's set when a group of truly obnoxious teenagers tried to push their way forward (they spent most of their time stage-whispering about how they were going to start fights, kick peoples asses and sue them if they couldn't get to the front), but they were told off and the people I was surrounded by formed a wall to keep them from shoving anyone else out of the way. They continued to shove at me throughout the concert, but someone was always there with an arm for me to grab or a shoulder to lean on. Honestly, I cannot get over how AMAZING the fans were. I have done the all-day GA wait before, chattered with fans, traded stories and such, but I've never before felt so surrounded by people who had my back.

I was a bit disappointed when Adam came out in a rather understated look, without all the rhinestones, glitter and bindis I had seen in other pictures and videos. My disappointment didn't last long - as soon as he started singing, EVERYTHING was perfect, glitter or no. One thing that amazed me was how absolutely polished his voice sounded, even live. Many artists sound great on their auto-tuned, over-produced albums but fall a bit flat in concert. Not Adam. He didn't shy away from the more difficult songs and hit every note. The rock songs were full of energy and had the whole crowd screaming and jumping, while the acoustic set was very nearly heart-breaking. I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of shows I have been to that have been that energetic and emotionally engaging and Adam's performance is very nearly at the top.

The whole thing passed by in a rush. Afterward, my sister and I waited for the venue to mostly clear out and then headed out ourselves, eager to get home and collapse. Upon seeing the crowds hanging around by the barricade, we talked it over and decided it might be worth the wait. I'm not big on the whole "I got to meet so-and-so and he signed my arm!" thing, but I had a few questions I wanted to ask if I had the chance. So we waited and waited and waited - again finding fans to talk to and trade stories with. Longineu finally came out; my sister had her ticket signed, and one of the girls when had been chatting with handed me her camera and asked me to take her picture with him. Then we all went back to watching and waiting and talking until Adam finally came out. He went through the line rather quickly, signing only a scant few things here and there, not really stopping for photos with the fans. I was too far back from the barricade to say anything to him and I had the misfortune to have the other girl's camera in my hand instead of my own, so I just started snapping whatever pictures I could. Adam finally reached our end of the line and stopped, stared directly at me and said "I really like your hat." If anything else happened after that, I was too stunned to remember it. His voice was so warm and sweet - all the radio interviews and YouTube videos in the world cannot do it justice - and I was completely elated. In retrospect, I wish I had asked him to sign one of the ribbons on the hat or had at least had my camera and had been taking a video at the time, but I really don't care TOO much that I didn't manage to think of either one at the time. He liked my hat! :D

Next time he has shows on the west coast, I'm DEFINITELY going to as many as possible. One simply isn't enough!
Now on to the videos I managed to take. Sorry for the shakiness - my hands aren't very steady anyway and the girls behind me were very pushy.

I know I am late but am making up for my lurking with a long winded recap of my concert experience. Also, thanks so much to all of you who post regularly, contribute videos, pictures and so much more to make this forum so thoroughly enjoyable.

I drove to Tempe from Tucson with my friend on Saturday. Our original plan was to visit her family members in our spare time but ended up just hitting the malls and dining out. Saturday at about 5:00 p.m. we drove by the Marque Theatre. The parking lot looked small and there was a freeway overpass and lake in the back and a large office building across the street with a parking garage behind. Everything else was desert. Later that evening, Adam was in Vegas and I was starting to go into withdrawal since I only had access to a slow computer with no sound and no twitter on my old cell phone. Sunday before 11:00 a.m. we drove past the venue and saw about 10 people waiting at the entrance and the red and white bus parked behind the venue. We decided to go shopping and have a lunch before lining up. The next few hours flew by. We arrived a little before 4:00 pm., grabbed our water, lawn chairs and a spot in line which extended about 40 yards from the entrance and added our names to a list we were given and wrote our number on the back of our hands. We socialized with the people around us and met @Merrycello (on twitter) who had driven from the California and Vegas shows. She also had been at several east coast shows. She was very friendly and had quite a few stories to share with us "virgin" Adam concert goers. She also read tweets from Adam's twitter party. We all figured that he was both board and resting his vocal cords. At about 6:30 a few of us decided to head over to the only available restroom facilities…one Porta-potty with twenty people in line. One person got a call and was told that the theatre line was moving. Since the out-house line wasn't moving much, we decided to go back to find that everyone in line had put their lawn chairs away and were now standing in a more compact line. We put our chairs away and waited till 7:00 when they let us in. We ran to the restroom and then into the auditorium. My friend stood on Tommy's side where she was 1 person away from the front barrier. I noticed that she was right under the speakers so I moved a little closer to the center and a couple rows back but still closer to the speakers than I would have liked. I told my friend that it could be a problem but she is short and was with a group of short people so I figured that she should stay there. I was behind two average size guys and in front of a tall pretty blond girl who put on a pair of 4 inch high-heeled boots right before the concert started. A group of tall, nice looking young guys were behind us. I couldn’t tell you if they were gay or not!

Finally Allison's band came out. She received some enthusiastic cheering and put on a really energetic show but, as I have read many times on this forum, her band was much too loud and she was hard to understand. Plugging up my ear on the speaker side helped a little. I really like her and a few of her songs but the volume made my eardrums hurt!

Then we stood through a very long intermission. If it were a seated facility, I wouldn't mind a long intermission. It would allow time for a rest-room break, to get a drink and check out the merchandise. For GA, it was impossible to move without loosing your spot, the audience was loosing patience, and suffering from the heat and soar feet. At least one person had to leave her front, center spot at this point since she wasn’t feeling well.

Finally, its time…the crowd is screaming and singing to "For Your Entertainment" and Adam appears at the top of the stairs. WoW! Adam moves ever closer to my side of the stage singing "Voodoo" and sounding OoooH Soooo gooood! He gets up on the riser and MY GOD!!!! BREATHTAKING, STUNNING…SUCH BEAUTY!!! I totally forget about my aching feet and sore back. Then he moves on to “Down the Rabbit Hole” and before you know it "Ring of Fire" It is just way too quick! I want more! Then in "Fever" he gently strokes Tommy’s hair and chin and looks lovingly into his eyes. No kiss or lick. The rest of the show just moves by so fast. I try to take pictures but the guy in front keeps swaying too much. There isn't enough room to move my arms and the tall girl behind me is leaning on my shoulder and jumping around waving her arms and yelling “I Love You Adam” every time he gets close to us. Looking at the stage, I could hardy focus on anything but Adam….SENSORY OVERLOAD! Before I knew it, he was introducing the band and dancers. It went by in a flash…then we were screaming for an encore and Adam returns with "Mad World". Louder Screams but no WLL. So sad but I figured that he was probably tired from the last two crazy days with family and friends in San Diego & Vegas. He still managed to hit at least two astonishingly high notes…I don't remember which songs. His movement and appearance and the way he grabs you with his eyes is just so very HOT, HOT, HOT! I need to see it again! Unfortunately, I don't have any vacation time and can't afford to be running across the country to see more shows. I will just enjoy him on my computer and save my money for next year’s tour!

I have read comments on how his voice changes and is different in person vs. the CD so I was paying attention to that. His voice sounded perfect on the first few songs, tender and sweet in the middle section. I don't think that I was getting the best sound though because I was still too close to the speakers. It was not as bad as Allison’s set but the mix was off. There was still too much bass and drums while Monte was being drowned out. When he got to the last section he started sounding a little like he breathed in some helium. The audience behind me started laughing because he sounded odd, a little like a cartoon character! He really needs more time off to avoid having to adjust his voice to compensate for overuse if this is what he was doing. I really need to hear him a few more times from a better vantage point to honestly comment on his live singing voice.

After the show, my friend and I had nothing planned and it wasn't too late so we let the venue empty out before going to the barricades. It is not too crowded so I moved my car closer and grabed a water bottle from the ice chest and the CD insert. We wait for quite a while and LP comes out. He slowly makes his way down the line. Someone told him that they were sorry to hear that he was leaving and he acknowledged it and thanked them for their concern. Then, we wait longer. I am trying to decide if I want to keep waiting but more security guards show up and tell us not to press against the barriers. This was despite the fact that the fans at the barricades were only about three deep and relatively quiet. So we all wait longer. Then Adam finally comes out. He is still in makeup and high hair. The crowd yells out his name and then goes quiet again while he quickly signs various posters, magazines, tickets, arms, wrists, etc. He was talkative and a girl in front of me tells him she whished that he had done WLL. He sighed and said that it takes a lot of work to do that song and he just can't do it every night. Right after saying that, I extended my arm over a couple of shoulders and he reached up, held on to a few of my fingers along with the CD insert and initialed it. I thanked him and he moved very quickly to the next person/item to be signed. (OH my goodness, He Touched Me!) I took a picture from close range but my flash didn’t work so I had to go down the line and managed to get one last picture but it has a big, strange red mark on it. My friend was at the end of the line and right when he was directly in front of her, she pressed the button and her camera timed out. Fail! Then, security quickly rushed him into the bus and they started backing out of the lot.

We went to the car and started to pull out of the lot but the bus was blocking our path and they had the other buses and truck to move also so I decided to go back to the other side of the lot. This exit was one way, one lane, over a bridge and going the opposite direction from our hotel. Just when I decided to exit, here comes Adam’s bus, right behind me! We go over the bridge and the bus starts to signal to turn right. I decide to turn right but just as I start turning, the bus turns off his blinker and goes straight. I ended up in a parking lot, made a quick u-turn and pulled out in back of the bus. The bus then turns right on the next street so I follow. They go one block and turn left, then half a block and into the Marriot Hotel parking lot. There were no other cars on the street so we were the only ones who knew where they were. I drive around the block and see them getting out of the bus at the front of the hotel. I thought about pulling into the lot but….decided that I didn't want to be a dreaded stalker! I was grateful that he came out to the barricades. Monday morning we drove over to the Marriot at about 11:00 and the buses were gone.

Adam's concert is a musically rich, eye popping, mesmerizing experience. Don’t walk….run to see him!
