CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE
Tonight’s show is at the CAPITOL CENTER FOR THE ARTS
The city of Concord is the capital of the state of New Hampshire in the United States. It’s population is 42,255.
Concord grew in prominence throughout the 18th century, and some of its earliest houses survive at the northern end of Main Street. In the 19th century, Concord became a hub for the railroad industry. Today, the city is a center for health care and several insurance companies.

The Venue
Opened in 1927, the Capitol Theatre was a prime stop on the Vaudeville circuit, and, later, Concord's premier movie house and concert hall. Over the years, however, the theater slipped into disrepair and in 1989 it was closed.
With $4.2 million raised in support by the newly formed, non-profit Capitol Center for the Arts, and 250 volunteers contributing over 3,000 hours to paint and restore the Egyptian-motif artwork, the renamed theater was opened in November 1995. The Chubb Theatre was named in recognition of the project's largest benefactor, Chubb Life.
The 1,310-seat theater is now equipped to present many of today's lavish Broadway shows. It has been modernized with new heating, air conditioning, electric and plumbing systems, handicapped accessibility including an elevator, a new lobby and vestibule, computerized box office system, updated backstage facilities and restored seats.
The Capitol Center's mission is to be a resource for the entire community. Accordingly, the Center has presented a wide mix of high-quality events, including Broadway shows, dance performances, pop and country stars, family shows, international performances, school-time shows and business conferences and seminars.

THE VENUE
]AND.......
In light of all the controversy about why there are camera nazis...and who is stopping vids..Adam's management or the venues, you might all find this very interesting.
While researching for the info I've been posting for each venue I came upon this for an upcoming show:
AEG Live Presents: Adam Lambert
TBA
TICKETS SOLD ONLINE ONLY
NO CAMERAS ALLOWED
7:00 Doors | 8:00 Show - All Ages Mon. Aug. 30
$33
This doesn't sound unusual..UNTIL you click this link which brings you to the venue's home page & listing for all their events:
http://www.madisontheateronline.com/calendar.php
It lists 14 shows and the ONLY ONE THAT SAYS NO CAMERAS ALLOWED IS ADAM's.
Obviously, this is not a venue issue...and in light of the rip-downs from Youtube, I am convinced it is Adam's peeps (whether it be AEG, Sony, RCA, 19E) that are telling venues no cameras. This jives with what I've been told by security heads at 2 different venues...that Adam's peeps have a meeting with security before the show and among other things, they are told NO VIDEOs OR RECORDINGS. I also think Adam is not in the know about this..he has more important things on his mind. He said it's not his MANAGEMENT (which is 19E)..but that doesn't mean it's not Sony or RCA.
This also explains why some security peeps at the venues look the other way once the show starts. After all, it isn't their rule.
So, make of this what you will...but it looks like it is clearly not a venue issue except in some rare cases (House of Blues for one).
