@GlittahOnMyFace yea adam & drake were at this bar afterwords all playing with each others hair & neck rubbing & what not :o

@insomniac19 MICHELLE THEY WERE SO freakING CUTE. AT ONE POINT THEY WERE HUGGING AND ADAM STARTED RUBBING THE BACK OF DRAKE'S NECK AND OMG

RT seeinstereo_: Adam and drake were so cute together last night. Playing with hair, rubbing backs, little pecks on the lips. Adorable.

OIC. They disappeared into the bathroom for like 15 minutes (Adam and Drake) :D
So funny that Lambry fans think it's happening again, when Drake left the club alone, & Adam went to another club with the mohawk boys. LMAO

Oh my god this freaking made my day. Adam and Drake met up again at the bar and Tommy joined them for the afterparty. PRESHNESS <3

OK, seriously! People are pissed at Adam, saying he is doing Tommy wrong, by being at a club with Drake in front of him? Kindly DIAF weirdos

@Merrycello: Fyi not saying anything is happening w Adam & Drake. They just look really close and happy to see each other...

Adam Lambert: Reviewing Our Review
By Chris Gray
published: Mon., Sep. 13 2010 @ 12:00PM
http://blogs.houstonpress.com/rocks/2010/0....php?print=true

Rocks Off would like to take this opportunity to address the hundreds of comments that Brandon Hernsberger's review of Adam Lambert's performance last Wednesday at the Hobby Center provoked.

First of all, Rocks Off is not homophobic, nor would we allow anyone we even suspected of being homophobic - or prejudiced against any other group of people, including the middle-aged - to write for us. One of the most important qualities a reviewer must have is an open mind, regardless of his assignment, and so anyone with that sort of prejudice (or any other kind) would be of little use to us.

But we do apologize if the review came across as homophobic or mean-spirited towards any other group. Like many other artists, gay and straight - Elton John, Freddie Mercury, the Rolling Stones, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Kings of Leon - sexuality is an essential part of who Adam Lambert is as a performer, and thus what he does and sings onstage.

Many people believe he lost the 2009 American Idol title to Kris Allen for that very reason: That even though he had not yet come out as openly gay, his appearance and performances disturbed a number of conservative churches enough that they organized phone campaigns to ensure that Allen would win.

Several commenters have speculated that Rocks Off sent Brandon to the show with the express assignment to do a hatchet job on Lambert so we could get extra hits for our Web site. This is simply not true.

Even if we were, beyond the extra traffic anything with "Adam Lambert" in the headline is almost guaranteed to bring in, this is hardly the way we would have gone about it. We assigned Brandon the review because he has reviewed a number of pop shows for us in the past (Coldplay, Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift) - some favorably, some not so favorably, but never with any kind of axe to grind.

Other commenters have speculated that based on what he wrote, Brandon may not have even gone to the show at all. This is also not true. We would never, ever even consider running a review by anyone who had not actually attended the concert in question; in this case, Brandon actually texted us from the show remarking on how good his seat was.

Still other commenters pointed out that, whatever else was said, the review was lacking much in the way of musical analysis. Here, unfortunately, we have to agree. Rocks Off's reviewers are welcome to include commentary on any aspect of a performer or performance, up to and including politics, religion and sexuality should they see fit.

Many performers, hardly limited to Lambert, routinely address such controversial issues in both their songs and live performances. But our reviewers' first duty is to consider the music above all else, and to place those other things within the context of what happens onstage, and here we fell short.

It was an error in judgment, both on the reviewer's part and on our part as editor, and for that we apologize. Our music reviews should, and will, do exactly that - review the music.

Quite a night! Stood by the stage, touched his gloved hand, went to a fun dinner with AO people beforehand, went to Oz but left before Adam got there. When we left, he was across the street at the Bourbon--there were police cars flashing their lights when he was first there. Ran into Tommy, Monte & LP sneaking around town as we exited from our dinner.
This is a great town & I feel happy and satisfied.

Hung out with various Glamberts today who stuck around last night & said that Adam did try to dance with fans at Oz, but it got just too crazy so he ended up retreating back upstairs.
We had a party bus from the show to Oz which played AI clips.. So nostalgic

Hi Skanks....just got back from the NOLA concert. This was my second GNT concert, my first was Denver. When I left the Denver concert (with my husband) we both stumbled out in a daze and headed for the nearest bar to injest what we had just experienced. I was so out of it that I totally forgot to go to the buses that we had scoped out earlier in the day!!!!! And, my memory of the concert was all in a haze.....thank god for youtube and my hubby also took video of the whole show. Anyway... a few days later I was saying to him how you really need to see the tour more than once and I kinda mentioned NOLA knowing he loves NO. Well, the next thing I know he has 2 tickets for the show! :w00t: They were center eleven seats back but much better than the Denver seats!
So off to NOLA!
The day of the concert we ended up driving over to the theater mainly to just be sure of the route. This was around noon and the buses were there, but very quiet except for a couple of fans hanging around. We then decided to go over to the Quarter for a beer....it was so freaking hot! I mentioned that there was an after party for Adam at Oz, so we decided to get our beers there and just check it out. The bar was dark and very dead except for two couples. The bartender was a cool dude who was into tech stuff as is my hubby, so they hit it off quite well. There were no posters or anything around that suggested an "After Party" gig for Adam, which I thought was strange. We said something like "we heard you're having a big party tonite" and he said he hoped so. So don't know what their expectations were.....sounded sorta loose.
Now, the concert. We got in line a little before 7:00 and saw a very diverse crowd (as usual). There were children to people in their 60's. There were individuals wearing some of the most creative outfits.....top hats with layers of draped clothing.... sequined dresses...and, of course, the three beautiful mohawk boys with their rhinestone necklaces, leather vests, tight pants and boots to kill for! Everyone in the main hall was taking pics of them and they were eating it up!! We took pics, but I still have to figure out how to get them here. Plus I'm sure there are a ton out there already on the internet.
Now to Allison....we both think she is really talented, and has improved a lot on her stage presence but she needs to learn to enunciate big time! People stood up for a while, but I think she starts to lose them mid way thru the concert (but the people in the first few rows stood the whole time). She's a doll and I really hope she makes it, because she is a true rocker.
When intermission hit, the energy took on a whole new dimension. You could tell every one was waiting for this.....DANCE PARTY :w00tbounce: :w00tbounce: There was the cutest 7 year old girl one row behind us who was dancing on the seat with a glowstick, black lace dress, and beads in her hair. The Mohawk pretty boys came and joined her and again every one started taking pics and video. All of a sudden, people started screaming and looking up in the balcony at this incredible "grandma" who was jamming like a 20 year old!! I kept looking for Drake during all this hoping to see if he came and then I realized he was two rows up from us, sitting with some friends, talking and being very low key. He is small and delicate and I can see how he is Adam' type. I also saw Vista being very busy during the intermission...talking to the security people etc. I am sure she will have some great stories to tell since she was right up there ...so close she could touch, smell and -------- :whistling:
Adam....well I really concentrated this time on him so I wouldn't forget a thing. The VooDoo entrance was actually pretty funny and I'm sure you all have seen it by now.... the baton/cane sticking to his fringe on the coat...but, of course, he handled it well. Loved Sleepwalker...such a great song live and it just gets better. I really can't wait for this to become his next single and see him do it at an Awards Show. He will kill it! Soaked ...beautiful, but too much talking in the audience...so what's new? My hubby's favorites are ROF (this has always been his favorite) Sleepwalker (live) and now SFW. He feels like I do that Adam will become a world wide Superstar. My only true regret was not being able to see Adam down on the floor slithering on his back and singing during TCB..... that's when it is truly worth the $$ to have those front row seats!! Vista I am so jealous!!
Oh, and again I went out the theater doors totally spent and dazed and again forgot about the buses. :? :haha:

Sorry. This is long.

Adam’s Right Testicle And Some Other Stuff Happened
(a recap of my trip to NOLA)

We decided to take the train down from Milwaukee. “It’ll be an adventure,” I had said. Oh, it is. It’s a gd sea of humanity. And when you only have 4 days to hit up New Orleans, don’t spend two of them on a train. That being said, it’s a fun time if you’ve got time.
We got off the train, swimming in humidity and 19 hours of train funk to wash off. We found our hotel, washed our bits, and found a restaurant and a few beers.. We miiiiight have had a bottle of Bacardi Limon for lunch, so we made our way back to the hotel to nap before we went out drinking.(yeah, you read that right) We woke up at 1:30 in the effing morning. I was grumpy pants, but Aron forced me to go out. Which I’m glad about. We cruised down Bourbon Street, and like the train, I have now experienced it, and have no desire to do so again. It was a hot effing mess.
We did, however, make our way to Gaysville, where we found a bar more our speed. You know.. The dark and dingy kind with the adorable bartender. His name was Brett. From Baton Rouge. Turns out he went to college with Drake. He asked us what we were doing there. For whatever reason, I still blush every time I mention Adam’s name for the first time to a stranger. Like a schoolgirl. Brett says, “Whaaat? Who’s that? I’ve never heard of him. (winks, then points up the street.) “The after party is at Oz over there.. I love him.” “Do you? Because I have two extra tickets..” Sold. We boozed there for a few hours… (Okay, six hours. Don't judge me.) Then went to get some shut eye.

AdamdayAdamdayAdamday.
We woke up around noon. Had a delicious brunch in the hotel. Then got ready for bayoulady to come pick us up. Who is an adorable and spunky little thing, and I loved it. She took us to the hotel where all of the.. Glam.. Ugh. Adam people were waiting. Including Vista (Wheeeeeee!) and Tennislover(this is a woman after my own heart. Girl loves her vodka) and Frank. I met Sandyrk, too! Thesy were all lovely. We were definitely sitting at the cool table. I’m sad I didn’t take more pictures. I have one. And it’s awkward. Marsha’s on the phone, and I look like some sort of silverback gorilla looming over her. I might post it anyway. We’ll see.

Oh, and favorite Marsha quote, “Damn! I got glitter on my Fendi!” I’ve been laughing about it since.

Brett met us at the restaurant when everyone was leaving. With his mom. Dammit, Brett! We need more pretty boys, not more moms! (she was very sweet and I liked her a lot) He was wearing cute flare jeans that were laced up on the sides. Adorbs. I wanted to put him in my pocket. The two of them hadn’t eaten yet and wanted to go elsewhere, so we bid the ladies adieu, and Aron and I went to a second dinner.
Side note: We were getting out of the car at the venue, when I turned around and came face-to-face with Brett’s satiny Jagermeister thong.. Whipped around to Aron and said “Are you getting this?” “Oh, it’s been noted.” Hilarious.

We arrived at the concert while Ali was playing, got a couple drinks, and split up to go to our respective seats. We didn’t have to sit in them, you could walk right up to the stage. (visions of sugar plums getting thrown up all over my tanktop danced in my head)
Tennislover, Vista and I powwow’d about getting Brett and his mom up to the front, and because no one was sitting in their seats, it was super easy. Way to go guys! When I went to go give Brett the tickets, two teenagers in front of us turned around and said “Are you scouting?” Oh, girls, I scouted this one out the night before.

Show. Awesome. Obvi.
Adam looked me in my eyeballs a gazillion times. (Probably wondering why I was so far away, cuz he wanted to make out with me, and didn’t know how to go about it.)
I didn’t throw up. Aces.

Here’s where the testicle comes in.
How flipping hard is it to keep your eyes on the face of an angel, when there’s a devil in his pants? (I tried. I really did.) And then I didn’t. I was stunned to see the soft outline of his right testicle nestled in a cozy hammock made of leather and sin. I could not tear my eyes off of it. Mouth agape, my eyes traveled upwards, and met Adam’s. GOD BLESS IT. I made some sort of gesture(spaz attack) and pretended to be clapping. Fail. Super busted.

Near the end, Brett leaned over to me and asked.. “So, Adam Lambert.. Top or bottom?” “Top, baby. He’s a top. (usually)” You should have seen the gleam in that kid’s eye. I think he licked his lips a little bit. Haven’t we all?

After the show we went back to the hotel to freshen up, and so Brett could politely ditch us. Freshened. Reapplied. We made our way downstairs.

Adam’s bus pulled up right in front of our faces.
Panicpanicpanicpanic. Wiggingwiggingwigging. Playitcool,man.Play.It.Cool.

I asked the door guy to call us a cab. We stepped to the side. I didn’t really want to be associated with the weirds (sorry if that was you) who followed him to the hotel. He got off the bus, and I super coolly gawked at him while smoking my super cool free Marb Light 100. I hear it’s totally hip to smoke these days. He gave everyone a “Hey, guys.” The 10 or so people standing there asked for pictures with no reply. One lady said, (sorry if this is you) “Adam, turn around and pose!” Did not like it. My baby is not a monkey, and he does not dance for you. (Well he does.. But he doesn’t. You know what I’m saying.)

We went to the afterparty. (the secret one) I had fantasies about meeting him when he went to the bar to get a drink, and you know, becoming best friends. But they put him in a cage for all the fans to gawk at. Did not like that either. So I don’t have any sort of insider scoop.
I did no cage viewing. But I did take pictures of the ogling.
When he left, we stayed and boozed. I was hitting it pretty hard, and I’m unclear on what time we left.. I for sure hit on one of the not so attractive gay bartenders on the way out. I was convinced even in the morning that he wasn’t “That bad,” much to Aron’s chagrin. Then I found an accidental picture of him in my camera. Vodkeyballs. What can I say? I’ve made out with worse.

We got back to the hotel, staggering in, me with a drink still in hand, and came face to ‘hawk with one of the half nakey boys.
They were all.. “We were waiting for you! Adam thinks you're HELLA fine. Come on, let’s party! Adam gave us a key!” So we went upstairs and made out with Adam super hard while everyone watched.
Jkjkjkjkjkjkjkjk
Nobody watched.

No, seriously. When we saw the ‘hawk, I turned to Aron and said “I am FAR too drunk for this. We’re getting on that elevator.” We did.

Oh, and I only took two pictures at the show. Are these going to be huge? Probably going to be huge. Sorry.

Okay. Don't like to post but I finally have a "story." And I'm not good at making things short. Sorry. It was my first time in NOLA so of course I had to pay $20 to have my cards read the day of the concert. Fortune teller told me to make three wishes. I did. Then I guess she felt sorry for me and gave me a bonus wish. :sorcerer: I told her I was in town to see my fav. singer, Adam Lambert, and wanted to meet and talk to him again (I had M&G in Houston which was very quick). Went to FAB concert, front row  then went to Bourbon Inn to afterparty. They brought Adam in and put him a caged room for a private party. I was pressed up against the bars with my friend Bayoulady looking in, which made me feel super creepy but not creepy enough to leave! I was fascinated watching Adam interacting with his friends, the three Mohawk boys and Drake. A LOT of fans started coming up behind us and soon we were pressed up against the bars so hard I have permanent imprints in my face. A cute blonde boy came over and introduced himself as Shane, Adam's ex-roommate pre-Idol. He asked if I'd like to meet Adam. I said calmly, uh, YEAH, :w00t: thinking to myself I'm sure that'll happen. He kept saying Adam would be over in five minutes. After about two hours Shane came over to me and Bayoulady and said, would you like to come in? :o We fought our way thru the crowd and entered the inner sanctum! Adam was on the other side of the room enjoying himself so I cosied up to Mohawk boy and said, OK, I'm in. Now what do I do. He told me to be calm and not to rush Adam. Then security came over and said, you two, OUT. I said, but, but Shane invited us in! Shane was nowhere to be found. Security said, I don't care, OUT! So out we went.
Shane was outside the door and we told him what happened. He said, No. He grabbed us by the hands and pulled us back in and took us right over to drunk Adam!!!!! :w00twave: Adam gave me a big hug and said, how ya doin' mama! I died right then and there. Bayoulady had a nice conversation with him where he repeated the same thing about four times. Gotta luv drunk Adam! Then we left and this was me and Bayoulady squeeing for the rest of the night! Now how's that for a fortune come true!!! :haha: THE END
