Berlin is the capital city of Germany, and is one of the sixteen states of Germany. With a population of 3.4 million people, Berlin is Germany's largest city. It is the second most populous city proper and the eighth most populous urban area in the European Union. Located in northeastern Germany, it is the center of the Berlin-Brandenburg Metropolitan Area, comprising 5 million people from over 190 nations. Geographically embedded in the European Plains, Berlin is influenced by a temperate seasonal climate. Around one third of the city's territory is composed of forests, parks, gardens, rivers and lakes.

First documented in the 13th century, Berlin was successively the capital of the Kingdom of Prussia (1701–1918), the German Empire (1871–1918), the Weimar Republic (1919–1933) and the Third Reich (1933–1945). Berlin in the 1920s was the third largest municipality in the world. After World War II, the city was divided; East Berlin became the capital of East Germany while West Berlin became a de facto West German exclave, surrounded by the Berlin Wall (1961–1989). Following German reunification in 1990, the city regained its status as the capital of all Germany hosting 147 foreign embassies.

Berlin is a world city of culture, politics, media, and science. Its economy is primarily based on the service sector, encompassing a diverse range of creative industries, media corporations, congress and convention venues. Berlin serves as a continental hub for air and rail transport, and is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the EU. Significant industries include IT, pharmaceuticals, biomedical engineering, biotechnology, optoelectronics, traffic engineering, and renewable energy.

The metropolis is home to renowned universities, research institutes, sporting events, orchestras, museums and personalities. The urban and historical legacy has made it a popular setting for international film productions. The city is recognized for its festivals, diverse architecture, nightlife, contemporary arts, public transportation networks and a high quality of living.

Berlin has one of the most diverse and vibrant nightlife scenes in Europe. Throughout the 1990s, twentysomethings from surrounding countries, particularly those in Eastern and Central Europe, made Berlin's club scene the premier nightlife destination of Europe. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, many buildings in Mitte, the former city center of East Berlin, were renovated. Many had not been rebuilt since the Second World War. Illegally occupied by young people, they became a fertile ground for all sorts of underground and counterculture gatherings. It is also home to many nightclubs.

THE VENUE
Multi purpose venue Postbahnhof is an old train station close to still active Ostbahnhof train station. The new POSTBAHNHOF impresses from the outside as well as from the inside. The bold geometrical shape catches everyone’s eyes and gives the set of buildings a very unique flair.

Using solely authentic materials, the red-brick buildings have been affectionately refurbished. A central issue hereby was to use the inimitable premises as diversely as possible. Fritzclub, Gleishalle (Track Hall) and Einpackkammer (Shipping Chamber) belong to the complex and can be used individually as well as in combination.

Panoramic windows command a splendid vista over one of Berlin’s most diverse areas. Here, hip clubs have established and renowned companies settled. In combination, they insure the borough sees a change of scene – boasting the most vibrant ingredients the city has on offer.

Right next door, the major train station Ostbahnhof offers ideal transport connections in and around Berlin (Bus, S-Bahn) or to all bigger cities in Germany (ICE).

Adam Lambert and the Message of Love

Glam rockers Adam Lambert managed in Sunday's sold-out Hamburger verdigris something that every musician wants: to heat up an audience so that it is from 0 to 100 only perceived needs 0.8 seconds to turn the space into a madhouse. Dressed in a black suit, long purple coat with fur trim and fringe, he appeared on stage. This he wore one, provided with a long spring cylinder. Every inch of an image of the eighties. Because together with the fat makeup and black fingernails, he offered a picture, how did you get to see it no more since Boy George in his heyday. And when Adam Lambert sits every movement, every glance. Whether he swings his head to its asymmetrical hairstyle again to shake difficulties or dances with the dancers on the stage.

In the baggage Adam Lambert had the songs of his album For Your Entertainment. And he did what he promised. The very first song Voodoo brought his thunderous riffs and beats entertained the audience. Mystery remained, as the four dancers made it to the tiny stage at the Verdigris - despite the drum kit, keyboard, guitar and bass player, there were still around - to formulate such a lascivious performance. Also the next song, Down The Rabbit Hole, triggered many a chat circle. But also for the mums are accompanying it was to hear was: with his rendition of Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire, Adam Lambert showed impressive versatility of his voice.

It continued with songs like Fever (including kissing with bassist Tommy Joe Ratliff), Soaked or Sure Fire Winners, which was preceded by a two-minute instrumental intro. Here the band was able to show that they have more going than just weird hair and lipstick. But there were also quiet minutes, for example, as Adam Lambert sang Aftermath or his hit song, Whataya Want From Me, accompanied only by acoustic guitar. Here he passed his glam rock attitude and a passion by the singer flashed. Too bad that was apparently the technician at Music Again on the mixer out of print. This song was just loud and overdriven.

The high point came much too quickly with If I Had You, the latest single release. After only fifty minutes Adam Lambert and his band disappeared off the stage and came out again. For several minutes the audience was paralyzed in the bright light and waited for the return of their heroes. But unfortunately in vain. However, many enthusiastic faces were seen. Even though it was short, it was nice anyway. For as Adam Lambert said in between: "No matter how much money, fame or success you have. Because the important thing is that it is connected with love. "

I don't have time to recap much because I was stupid and forgot my laptop home and wlan access costs too much at my hostel but... oh my fcking god. He can't be real. My pics are crap but somehow I have one pic of him having his fingers in his throat/mouth. UNF. I think I'll stare that until I get home.

Kinda like... did I attend to a concert or a live show of a man fingering himself at sexhibition or something? :D not complaining a bit.

Everyone's seen the vids already but geez omg. The choke banter... I have no words. I love him so freaking much. :'( he was so happy, so free, so... himself. <3

He always gives us so much via his performances but what happened yesterday was so much more. And omg, Soaked. Do I even have to explain?
