I finally have somewhat recovered from the amazing, hot Adam performance last night in Indy! I was fortunate enough to have a front row seat, center on the floor -- thank you Ticketmaster gods! Here is the link to my photobucket album:

Right now, I've uploaded over 90 photos to my album at http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee314/i...Lambert%20INDY/

I'm on a mission to get all of these done at some point today -- Labor Day -- when I have a chance. There's probably going to be 20-30 more from Starlight and Mad World (mainly). Enjoy! Rebecca

Here's a part of a review my friend Shannon and I submitted to a web site...I think we've officially lost it! I'm only including the Adam parts. -Rebecca

DANNY
Rebecca: In full disclosure, I’m in my NASA liftoff mode for A-D-A-M at this point and Danny could frankly be talking in tongues or shocking the crowd with obscenities (I know, very doubtful) and I would likely be oblivious to it. So, with far less than my undivided attention, I think P.Y.T. is the highlight of his set – he’s moving around and seems more of a real performer. Someone in wardrobe should have made a mental note early on about his sweaty, sweaty armpits in the red shirt, which is way too vivid once he removes that jacket. I chuckle every time at his naive version of a jacket removal and mike stand stroking; see Adam for the opposite of naive. Just like with Matt, I think Danny’s set isn’t properly constructed. I don’t get doing two Rascal Flatts songs back-to-back that basically feel the same. He sounds fine, but it doesn’t make for a good set – falls flat for me. Vocally, Danny is my second favorite but, alas, I don’t think he as ANY idea what to do with his voice/how to use it. I’m hoping the folks at RCA Nashville can help him. He was better performance-wise in concert, but still seems a bit stiff or movements forced at times. A funny note: A major Gokey fan a few rows behind me was screaming so loud throughout his set it seemed as if a horrific stabbing was taking place!

Shannon: I’ve always been a fan of the kind of lower, gravelly voice that Danny has. I’m torn because P.Y.T. just isn’t my favorite song and I really didn’t care for Maria, Maria at all. I was not one of those screaming when he started his spastic salsa. I did sort of like his take on the Rascal Flatts songs but I too felt they were too similar. I want to be a fan, but I just don’t feel it and it puzzles me but there it is. That said, I was definitely not focusing on his performance by this time. I was beginning my “fake out the security guards” act where I keep my camera pointed at the stage and twitch my index finger every few seconds so I look like I’m taking pictures while I’m actually illegally recording the performances for my continued enjoyment at a later date. This must be started before Adam hits the stage so they don’t get suspicious. Plus, by this time my feet were killing me as I couldn’t give up my prime position at the barrier at the corner of the stage to seek the blessed relief of my seat – even during intermission.

ADAM
Rebecca: My body temperature must have jacked up five degrees when Adam hit the stage – it went up like two degrees just during the intro! It’s as if the flames on the screen behind him had somehow ignited the audience! His hair and sexy stance were akin to his Ring of Fire performance on Idol – he looked that hot and naughty! The screaming from the audience kept coming and coming…

Vocals: out of this world; tremendous range, depth and power! It was appropriately rough and raw in Whole Lotta Love, soaring in Starlight, haunting in Mad World and bold and flirty during the Bowie medley.

Chit-chat: Naturally, Adam mentioned he was born in Indianapolis; he seemed to be having a lot of fun and talked to the audience a bit more than at the other two shows I attended.

Foreplay and Toys
: Slow Ride was positively epic – besides the amazing vocals and performance by Adam and Allison, the interaction between the two was awesome. Early on, Allison grabbed, yes grabbed, her a handful of Adam’s butt. Oh, yes she did. He laughed quite a bit at that and “retaliated” by getting into hitting her with a tickler whip that had been thrown on stage. Besides the tickler whip, I saw littering the stage during Slow Ride: a boa, a bra and blue briefs. A blue leather whip found its way to Adam and he used it during the Bowie medley. He screamed, “Who wants it?” as he flung the whip back into the crowd that had been worked up into a sweaty frenzy at that point.

Performance
: Kris was so right when he described seeing Adam live as “mind-blowing.” On stage, Adam’s the best possible combination of Freddie Mercury (50% for the vocals), a gifted stripper (22.5% for his exceptional hip gyrations), Elvis Presley (20% for his sex appeal and piercing good looks) and Michael Jackson/Prince 7.5% (for showmanship/costuming). So, yes, I REALLY like Adam!

Shannon: OMG! If a woman is lucky there comes a time in your life when you experience something so amazing, so thrilling, so off the charts sexy and mind-blowing that you will never ever forget it. Yep, that’s Adam. The stage virtually explodes and he steps out of the conflagration with a totally mischievous and slightly nasty smile that actually made me start to feel flush. The look is perfect – ebony hair, smoldering eye makeup, leather from head to toe. I was recording every delicious second and wanted to do bodily harm to the teenager next to me who kept bumping my arm. And my feet had magically quit hurting (the same thing happens to me at Keith Urban concerts). Unfortunately, while I thoroughly loved his set, I was so intent on keeping that gorgeousness in my camera sight that I didn’t get to fully enjoy the plethora of fun toys tossed on stage. Would that I had had the nerve to purchase the rhinestone handcuffs I saw online to throw on stage…. I was left wanting much more than a mere 20 minutes.

KRIS
Rebecca: I like Kris’ voice and he seems like a great guy, but there is no way, no way I can come down from my Adam high to concentrate on him…simply not possible. It’s like running a sprint at full tilt and then being expected to immediately have your pulse rate be calm and steady. The body and mind don’t work that way! I heard the occasional word in Heartless, but that’s about it. I heard maybe half of what Kris was doing in The Killers’ song – my favorite of his set. Still, I just couldn’t concentrate. When Kris is playing piano, I literally can’t see his head for the piano, so I decide I would rather look at the many pictures I just took of Adam on my camera, so that’s basically what I do until I hear the screams during “Hey Jude” that are my signal that Adam has come back to the stage. I know the performances are in the order of the show results, but no sane tour manager not bound by those rules would have Kris follow Adam – it’s not fair to either one, particularly Kris, and not to the audience. It’s like having an act of fireflies follow a fireworks display!

Shannon: I like Kris, I really do. He’s low key, has a good voice, and he’s just so darn cute. But he’s like seeing a kitten after being around a tiger. He’s adorable, cuddly even, but not nearly as beautiful and exciting. That’s not his fault though. Ever since Ryan announced he was the winner I’ve felt for him. Any other season he would be a perfectly fine winner. He just had the misfortune to be competing against the “rock god” this year. And I truly believe he would have preferred coming in second – less notoriety, no questions about who really should have won and he wouldn’t be in the unenviable position of trying to follow Adam’s performance. While I enjoyed Kris most at the Indianapolis concert, my feet started to hurt again and I held it together just long enough to record Heartless. I agree that he gets a little lost behind the piano and I find that ending on Hey, Jude is so anti-climactic as to be coma-inducing, even with the rest of them joining in.

FINALE

Rebecca/Shannon: Scott and Matt are good on the piano, with Matt clearly having the madder piano skills of the two. Again, I’m basically just waiting for Adam (and Kris) to pop up from the bottom of the stage; OK, they did and it’s over. Seriously, there’s not much to it. I’m left wanting my own ending to the show – the one we wanted to happen but no one from Idol bothered to consult us (those fools!!). If only Adam and Kris could have reprised We Are the Champions with the others as the backups – as was on the finale show. I’m sorry, but they are the ones people are mainly coming to see. This isn’t T-ball where everyone gets an equal shot at bat so they feel good. Money is changing hands; it’s about entertainment and giving the masses what they want! Plus, it would leave Kris ending on a much more awesome, crowd-spazzing note.
