Having performed for a while now with some of the very best musicians in the world - Queen - I am sure Adam is having to give some serious consideration to how he wants to proceed when it comes to his own backing band for Era 3. He wants to be loyal to his friends, but his career has to take precedence at this point. The band members he had must also have had to find whatever employment they could elsewhere. After all, it has been a LONG time since he needed them on a regular basis and they have bills to pay too and cannot just wait around for Adam's next gig. It will be very interesting to see what Adam decides. I too hope for a significant upgrade in ability and stage presence. However, who he has available to him will partly depend how much of an ongoing employment opportunity Adam can provide. There are many facets that come into play. For now, the guitarist at this event seemed to be very adept and it was a good pairing.

Totally agree with this :thumbs: Adam has clearly outgrown what may have been good enough for TP era. He's more experienced and more polished and much more of a showman...in no small part because of his association with the iconic Queen.
Whether you like his old band...including Tommy....or not, it is clear that Adam has moved to another level and he's going to need a backing band that can keep up to this new performer. I sincerely hope both his management and new record label impress this upon him....and that he listens to wiser voices.

I have always loved how Adam has been loyal to his friends and co artists/band members......
and...I liked Tommy.....however....I have felt he is not strong enough to keep up with Adam's talent....
I agree...I was not happy with his performances the last few times together with Adam.....
Tommy's sleepy attitude....is really very disrespectful to Adam....IMO
Adam has grown and is very deserving of a higher level skilled guitar accompanist...
There has to be...magic.... between a front vocal & lead guitarists.....
They have to be able to read each other...
Brian & Adam have that magic......I think Adam & MP had it as well.....
Tommy just doesn't read Adam very well......

Its not rude at all to say Tommy is not good enough, or even not techniquley good enough, when its a fact. Its a cut throat buisness. Adam is getting to a level where he has worked with the best of the best, who challenge him and bring the best out of him. It shouldent come down to loyalty. If his friends abilities are up to scratch at the Echeleons great. But i feel in this case Tommy is out of his depth, as is the rest. But thats no slight againgst their talent, Tommys awesome on Blues numbers , just have to see Red House cover to know that. Its just considering the evoloution Adam Lamberts gone through, he has simply considering where hes at outgrown them. Do you think Katy Perry or Taylor Swift chooses who backs her, because of loyalty? No Adam aint starting out, doing gigs at Bars lol. He needs to make some serious decisions regarding his backing band, and i beleive he needs to lose Tommy. Im sure hell understand and theyll still be Friends.

I agree with you... as long as it is not too rude... Some people might not understand constructive criticism. Everytime I watch Tommy, how I wish he could be more enthusiastic... he got a very pretty face and could take advantage of it. Deacon seldom smiles, but he made it up by his body movements, oh what rhythm he got. Brian moves (not so often), but his guitar playing is so amazing, that you can only watch his fingers and listen to the sounds. I am not into guitars but one cannot but admire Brian. Perhaps the accolades for Brian help in brainwashing me to admire him to the hilt.
I lurk at Qforum... they were very rude with Brian, most rude with Adam... that I think it is a game with them. Some diehards could not accept Adam to the point of criticizing Brian, and they were very tenacious at that. As I said, I read regularly only about Q+Adam. I find the posts amusing. No, I am not a member of that forum.
