Sounds to me like Brian is downplaying their role in XFactor. He has turned down rumours of playing this weekend. Some fans just presumed (me too haha) based on the type of theme. I don't think Brian ever said at all. Because obviousley with all the leaked artists performing. I am thinking 1D performance well be reserved for the finalie. Queen and Adam are more of an arena type performers. Being in Studio prob doesen't suit them. I read the finalie is going to be at Wembley Arena or the O2 sounds good. So I'm pretty optimistic, they have been booked for the finalie, makes sense for them.

Some excellent news ahead of Monday’s release of Queen Forever. This Saturday’s X Factor will be a Queen Vs Michael Jackson special.

Please note: Contrary to rumours, Queen + Adam will NOT be appearing!
English is not my first language but for me the quote above is about the next show.

Usually I am very sceptical when it comes to rumours or unconfirmed allegations but James Ingham has some good sources and also Adam followed XFactor UK out of the blue some weeks ago. So I remain optimistic and think they will appear on the show during the next weeks. Also excellent promo for the upcoming UK shows.

1D has already pre-recorded their performance and have already been announced as performing this weekend. Sam Smith has also been announced as performing this weekend. 1D may show up at the finale too I suppose

I have been reading.....Simon's leaving Idol is also connected to Coke Cola vs Pepsi battle....

For some reason Simon had a battle with Coke....

X Factor is sponsored by Pepsi....

Queen has just now launched this campaign with Coke Cola Red.....

I have a feeling it may have something to due with this.....

Sponsorship is everything......the war between Coke and Pepsi...is high stakes....

I don't know the details and I am guessing.....

However.....I would not be at all surprised tho ...if this is the case

If thats the case I officially hate Coke and Pepsi haha. Doub it though that is has to do with some copyright infringement of sponsership, seems kinda petty. I don't want Queen on my show, they endorse Coke na na na na. Haha. I kinda have a feeling QAL well be on one of the corresponding results show, or the finalie. That leak of performers seems pretty solid and reliable from what I have heard. That maybe the Grand Finalie performers. I mean Rhianna, 1D, QAL e.t.c. If I was a promoter, that would be my dream performers list for a popular singing show performers.

To be honest, I never see any Pepsi commercials during X Factor UK. The judges don't have soda cups in front of them, it's forbidden. The main sponsor is TalkTalk. I don't think Pepsi sponsors X Factor UK.

I really don't think Queen's association with Coke matters to XF UK. Guest artists have various endorsement deals and sponsors.

VT - pre-taped content, usually before an act performs. Could be TPTB got Adam to Skype one of the acts that is singing Queen. Or something like that. They got Demi Lovato to do that for one of the girls.

Mel B arranged a Skype call from Adam for Paul Akister. Paul is a soul singer and has no edge, so his "Don't Stop Me Now" didn't really work, but he got good comments. Mel B's other boy is closing the show with "Somebody to Love."
