Just a heads up on a mention of Adam in this week's EW (Oct. 8th issue). It's under News Notes "The New Judges and a Radical New Plan" pg. 18. Don't know how to bring to this thread, so will leave to one of you tech know alls.
The article is snarky IMO about Kris and Adam's failing to become platinum artists. The undertone is the 8th Season contestants didn't have enough professional guidance to create their own signature sound during the show and that caused the lack of major sales. If you look at the graph, you can see the decline in sales as each year passes with a new Idol (except for Underwood). Of course, they didn't mention that illegal downloading is now as common as drinking a cup of coffee in the morning and that Kelly Clarkson's win was 10 years ago when record sales were strong and Underwood was 5 years ago and again illegal downloads were at a minimum.
So, now, because the Idols from Season 8 and 9 were so lackluster, they are putting in all these "great" mentors to create the next MJ or whatever. Well, good luck with that.....sure it will help these young artists in having more guidance, but to assume that this is all that is needed to get these singers out there in the world to go platinum is just naive. The record industry is going into a decline due to the internet and !9E, etc. are just going to have to face the fact that fewer and fewer recording artists will be reaching platinum status, must less an Idol's first CD!
Well, I guess you tell I din't like the article....

Saw this article in the New York Times this morning....Adam is mentioned towards the end. As I was reading it, I was curious if they would mention him and, if so, how the author would spin it....

Direct Link to purchase.. http://www.magcloud.com/browse/issue/128232/follow
There's no need for Adam Lambert fans to wait any longer. The RockStar Weekly Adam Lambert Glam Nation Tour Set Lists magazine is now available exclusively at MagCloud for distribution to nearly any country worldwide. In the process of putting the magazine together, we added the October Hawaii tour dates and an additional two pages.
The massive 50 page magazine features a complete collection of setlists and concert dates from the Adam Lambert 2010 Glam Nation Tour of North America. It is the only printed collection of information about the entire Glam Nation tour of Canada and the United States in an effort to preserve the information for both historical reasons and for collectors who want to remember specific dates on the tour.
Although many of the setlists on this tour are similar, we wanted to represent each city with a complete list of songs performed at that venue on that specific date. For fans who attended that show, this would will be a nice printed memory of the show, for others it might be an interesting look at what songs were changed or added to specific shows.
The cover of this magazine is a popular shot by celebrity photographer Lee Cherry, who has shot Adam on several occasions. We chose this particular photo, because it represents the Glam Nation tour perfectly. The photos on the inside were selected specifically for this publication by photographer Barbara Dengel, who’s shots have been enjoyed by fans around the world through Twitter, Facebook and her photo website. This will be the first time her photos have appeared without watermarks and in print. We are excited to share this first with you.
We hope you’ll enjoy this permanent record of the 2010 Glam Nation North American Tour. From your friends at RockStar Weekly.
The magazine is available for $19.95 through MagCloud and a full preview of the entire magazine can be viewed at MagCloud before you decide on your purchase.
