My review and comments on the Pittsburgh Pride show: Waited all day with a PIT ticket, had to run six blocks to stage but got front row. I was a little disappointed that for whatever reason the Pride website misrepresented the show. Full 90 minute show with band and dancers had me drooling. That being said, I knew 90 minutes sounded too good to be true and we did get a full set (about 40 minutes). Didn't miss the dancers a bit. Adam looked hot as hell (even with Melvin). He was on FIAH! Does that man EVER put on a bad show??
I did think what one review article said was true. His performance was meant for a street party with lots of bass and loud music. I could hear his vocals were STELLAR but they were a bit overshadowed by the loud music.
I was surprised that he didn't even make a mention of Pride but maybe there was a reason. He did manage to say "Are you havin' fun twice," :haha: and seemed kind of awkward in the banter department. He messed up the set list and made a joke about that, saying that he sings real good but doesn't read real good.
Other highlights included watching his sound check. He then came out and signed and took a picture and chatted with every single person in line. My intelligent and witty banter entailed asking him if his Joan Rivers dream date was scripted or off the cuff. He replied, "That whole damn day was scripted!" I forgot to congratulate him on the LA Pride award. Damn it!
I was taking an unofficial survey and it is true that gay boys/men either do not like Adam, do not know who Adam is or just don't care about him one way or the other. And he is SUCH an advocate for their community. This saddens me. :(
The Pride Pub Crawl was, umm, fun. What happens in Pittsburgh stays in Pittsburgh. :ph34rwave:
In other news, I saw some of the cutest naked asses I've ever seen
I give my weekend 9 stars out of 10. I had to reduce it one star because I had to drive 7 hours each way and stand in line for over 10 hours.
