The trek kicks off in Huntington, NY on February 23rd and runs through April 2nd in Los Angeles.
Tickets for The Original High Tour will go on-sale this Friday, January 15th at 10AM local time.

I really think fans are getting way too bent out of shape re: an "announcement" and/or leak. The dates were clearly going to be released early this week; media announcements had been sent and embargoed. Whether the plan was for them to be released tomorrow, or it was supposed to be today but they wanted it pushed to tomorrow due to Bowie death, so what? He's not doing a big US media blitz or tv/radio appearance announcement; this is a 23 date large club/theater tour. So the dates came out today instead of tomorrow. No big deal. The vitriol being flung at Shoshanna and the sturm und drang amongst some of the fanbase is just silly. Happy that he is touring here this year; happy that it is in late February/March (way more sense than mid/late summer), happy to have the dates.

I am very happy for Adam's TOH tour....I wish it were closer to me....

However....very happy he has this tour & I am hoping it sells out

ITA!!!!! And I too think that they may have wanted to delay the announcement for a day due to David's passing...

I'm thrilled for him... He's up to 53 shows for TOHT now.

I don't care if he comes to a 'city near me', I just want him to have a successful run with TOHT!

I just think some fans aren't happy unless there's drama....angsting over whether there'll be a US tour, then angsting when it'll be announced...then angsting because it isn't in exactly they city they live in, or in exactly the size-venue they want....Shoshanna not doing her job...etc etc etc.

There's drama? (Oh, silly me, there's always drama, lol!). I agree....what's the big deal? Why does everything have to be such a production?

I'm going to try for the Huntington show, which is very close to me. (I'm also going to apologize in advance. I am untech savvy and only have a basic flip phone so i won't be able to stream if i do manage to get tickets.) Any idea about approximate ticket cost? If it were just me, I wouldn't care, but i know my cousin will not want to pay a lot. And it will probably be mostly general admission, which i can't do. I can't stand that long without getting lightheaded. So I'm hoping most people will want GA and leave the seats to me, lol!

I have a totally different problem with the tour....I CAN'T GO at that time of year!

Unlike Vistadiva on her winter escape to Mexico, I HAVE TO WORK! Every day from February 8th to April 15th! Such is the life of an accountant/tax preparer.

Sure hope he has some more dates in the summer out west. I told my sister that I would go visit her if he performs in or near San Francisco. She wasn't so thrilled about that however and said that I didn't care enough about her to go visit her without attending one of Adam's concerts. I told her that it would just make the trip more worthwhile. At this point, I can only hope but at least I was lucky enough to see him in Phoenix and it was fantastic to see him up close in that intimate setting!

There's a couple of shows I can try for. Still hoping there's a presale through the fan club. Winter weather could be a concern - I'm sure we'll have some of it at the worst possible time. I prefer seated, since at 5-1, standing usually leaves me in a sea of shoulders and heads.

Foxwoods would get me in position to visit daughter and son-in-law in RI. Bethlehem is close, but I would need seats, that GA is not attractive. And then there's New Brunswick NJ State Theater - it's supposed to be a nice theatre, but mid-week dates are always subject to work, which can happen anytime. (My bank called to offer a seminar on retirement at 6pm "after work". Hah, I leave work at 6pm, then have an hour commute back to home. And that's when I'm not working a night meeting.)
