It could be taken in the way that people who loved Adam on the tour will now go and see the show too. With everything that Adam's got planned, I can't see him committing to something like this, especially so far from home for an unspecified amount of time.

Well, I may be reading that article entirely wrong, but I don't think they are implying that Adam Lambert is heading the Queen Will Rock You Tour Show. I think what they are referring to is that a lot of Adam's fans became Queen fans and will now be interested in going to this Theatre production whereas before it was mainly Queen fans who were only interested in seeing it.

I am probably terribly wrong, but it's just how I comprehended that paragraph.

I understand what you're saying. It's poorly written. But Adam, having toured with Queen, has brought a new interest to Queen's music therefore an audience for Queen Will Rock You.

See, I'm not even making any sense.
