This is the biggest event to happen since 911. I am serious, the impact is the same. God at least Trump sounded human in his victory speech. The guy from the apprentice is the president of USA LOL, sorry its not funny just the irony.
It's ok. I don't blame you for laughing. America's a big fucking worldwide joke now. It's embarrassing. We're gonna have a corrupt unregistered sex offender and a porn star in the white house. He must have pulled in a lot of those phony Christian family values votes. A lot of crooked people helped him cheat. It was set up for him to win from the primaries on...., that's why he always acted like he didn't give a shit. We turned off the tv early last night. I don't want to hear anything the trump trash crime family has to say.

I'm with you, Misswood....can't stand to see him, much less listen to him.

I didn't sleep last night, my stomach has been a mess all day, so much stress.

This is really the first presidential election I've been so involved with, just because it was DT and I can't stand him....I think I'm better off oblivious...much easier on the nerves.

I almost stayed home because I was feeling sick, but decided I needed the distraction of being at work.

Good decision.

I had to hug my poor mailman today because he was almost in tears.

I'm angry, nothing but really angry and I lost a lot of people in my life today, including two brothers and my dad, while at the same time coming out as gay.
I'm from the south, and most of my relatives voted for that clown.
I let it rip on my facebook and I really don't care anymore. I've decided that I'm not ashamed of myself, I'm ashamed of my family members who would vote for a guy who has no respect for women, Muslims, Jewish people, gays, etc...etc...
I did not hold back.

PSA, if you vote for a guy with Nazi supporters, don't be surprised if people are fucking mad at you. ::angry::

I'm Canadian and I really wanted Hillary to win because she is so intelligent, well versed in the world's politics and policies, does her homework (yup, she's a wank - great asset in a President!), has spent her entire life defending the defenseless, has the deepest understanding of U.S. politics and how to 'negotiate' with the other side to get things done (even if it's not EVERYTHING she wants done, she'll take what she can). Had she lost to a Cruz or Rubio, I would have been disappointed and saddened but would have felt 'OK'... but she didn't... and I'm NOT OK!

I turned off my TV at 2:00 a.m. Wednesday and only turned it on to watch Hillary's concession speech and Obama's 'peaceful transfer of power' speech. I've been off line. I've been crying for two days and haven't been able to get out of bed. Playing solitaire on my iPad has been my best friend.

Most nights, I play the documentary "The White House - Inside Story" to go to sleep. The narrator has a very soothing voice. It's about the WH itself, how it was built and rebuilt and repaired. It's about the 'permanent' WH staff (whereas the 'tenants' only remain for 4 or 8 years). It has a lot of cameos from past and present POTUS and FLOTUS and their families. The overall theme is the historic context of living in the WH. The awe and respect shown by ALL previous tenants for this unbelievable house where so much history took place. I highly recommend it!

I can't watch it anymore...

To have this narcissistic, vengeful, uninformed bigot take residence there did me in. His utter lack of knowledge, or desire to acquire any, about history, what governing the greatest country in the world means has crippled me.

He is about to destroy America's standing as the world leader (a mantle to be taken up with glee by Russia). He doesn't need to start a stupid war. He doesn't need to hit the nuclear button. He simply has to be who he has always been... a buffoon who spews hate, division, racism, and CONSTANT stupidity in sentences that would be better formed by a 5 year old. His inherent 'need to win' and 'holding grudges' will make him 'say things' just because he is what he is... and that alone will destroy America in world's views around the globe for decades.

This vengeful man-child will now have the power to seek retribution on all who have offended him, even those who have not bowed to his 'awesomeness' quite enthusiastically enough. He has surrounded himself with those who will stoop so low, nobody can see it coming (Bannon, Giuliani, Gingrich, Christie).

I have heard of marches across America protesting his presidency... and that gives me hope! Regular citizens can save America by repudiating his idiocy and racism.

America will survive! But history will not look back at the coming years with a kind eye!

You've just described me, Marie. I've been so worked up the last two days about this that my stomach's in constant knots thinking about HIM taking over. I can't believe that the first black president, who's accomplished so much, is going to hand over the power to this asshole, who's going to set America back at least 50 years. I also don't want to think what could potentially happen to the rest of the world at his hands.

I posted a really nice post on facebook yesterday, letting people who are upset about the election and who feel afraid & unsettled, that I'm right there with them, to fight hate with love. The Trump supporters in my friends feed came out of the woodwork, let me tell you. I had to defriend some people for being so close-minded.

You're not alone in your anxiety, Marie. I'm so anxious too. ::huggy::

Electoral College Electors: Electoral College Make Hillary Clinton President on December 19......

We are calling on the Electors to ignore their states' votes and cast their ballots for Secretary Clinton.
Why?....
Mr. Trump is unfit to serve. His scapegoating of so many Americans, and his impulsivity, bullying, lying, admitted history of sexual assault, and utter lack of experience make him a danger to the Republic.

Secretary Clinton WON THE POPULAR VOTE and should be President....

The results of the election are soul-numbing, yet we'll be going out to dinner tomorrow with friends of some 45 years who are Trump supporters.

My two daughters (in their early 30s) are devastated. Even though our states (Rhode Island and New Jersey) went for Clinton, we all watched in disbelief as state after state fell to Trump's promises. My younger daughter was crushed that a neighbor shot off fireworks Wednesday night to celebrate the results. She texted me that she no longer had any love for the county in which she has lived for her entire life and was considering a move to Vermont - "it's beautiful, progressive, and you can get lots of acreage" - said the girl who has been renovating a 200 year old farmhouse in the heart of our rural and mostly Republican county. Partisan politics never seemed so divisive before.

It won't work. Pretty sure they've all been bought off by the ones who fixed the election....and they'll probably rig the popular vote total in his favor by the time this is all over anyway.

I've been avoiding a good friend of mine ever since this disaster. She keeps calling and I feel bad for not answering, but I just know we will get into a argument. We already have. My husband is avoiding his sister and brother in law. I don't know how to deal with this. This has never happened to me. It's a shame that so many folks are going to lose long time friends and relationships over this horribly vile person.

Thank you, Marie ::huggy:: ::huggy::

Thanks for letting us vent in here....it's been a depressing week, and I can't seem to snap out of it. I just keep feeling like crying, I feel this weird sense of loss.

I just want to crawl into bed and pull the covers over my head.

I think I was happier when I was oblivious of politics....it's going to be a loooooong 4 years ::cryblownose:: ::cryblownose:: ::cryblownose::

I think it's a process... I cried for two days.... Got very productive yesterday.... And yet today, I seem paralyzed again... Not crying... Just sad, angry, scared for my American friends...

We need each other. We need to be kind to each other. Everyone will work through this 'grieving period' in their own way in their own time.

But once, YOU feel ready, then you'll pick yourself up, dust yourself off and go do an act of kindness for a stranger... Smile at a child or an elderly couple... And it will make you feel better... and then you'll do it again and again....

The "YOU" is not you, SVCA, but the collective "YOU" / "US"...

We will survive! Love Will Trump Hate!!!!!
