I don't think its 3b...i think "era 4", if that is what fans want to continuing to refer to it as, is the "project" Adam has been working on. It does not appear that he has been working on any sort of a full length album -- whether that is because the label won't support one right now (or will only support one if there is a hit to support it first), or because they wanted to get new music out quicker than he could get something together given his QAL and other obligations (Adam works slower than molasses), or because that is simply the new paradigm for most artists, who knows. But he has been very very careful to not refer to his new stuff as an "album" -- he always just refers to a project or new music. He seems to mostly be working with his personal friends, and other young up and coming songwriters and producers that they know. My best guess is that post NA QAL he will release a series of tracks for streaming and to itunes and then release the full set as an EP. I don't think there will be any radio or promo push from the label unless one of the tracks shows real strength from sales and streaming - maybe if it gets some sort of a good commercial/movie/tv sync or something. I'd expect the EP to be digital only, with a possibility of hard copies available from his website but not in stores. This isn't really an Adam issue -- its what is starting to happen a lot in the industry for all but the most commercial artists. Warner is an absolute mess at mainstream pop/hac right now -- they've got virtually nothing going on. hardly anyone on the charts...They've tried mightily to make Bebe Rexha happen, with only moderate success; Derulo recent singles haven't hit big and he has been putting them out as standalone singles unattached to an album. bebe hasn't put out a full album. Echosmith has an album coming out but they've done zero radio push for the lead single (and as a result have no radio play). It looks like we are going to get a bunch of new music (yay!) but that "era 4" is going to look much different than prior eras.

^^^^^ I should clarify that I know nothing and the above is all speculation based on Adams and his collaborators and friends statements, instagrams, tweets, media articles and observation of what's going on at his label. I could be completely wrong.
