Photos I shot at the Queen concert yesterday - Tue. July 1, 2014 - at the San Jose Arena. This has got to be one of THE best concerts I have seen in the past 20 years. Great lighting, lasers, sound, overall production. Everyone performed top notch. And I wish everyone would drop the "American Idol" tag on Adam and simply accept him as the new singer for Queen. (They are going to record a new album soon.) Adam sang incredibly. This is a new, revamped Queen, and they are going to be around for a long time to come. :)
There are about 230 photos in here. I couldn't decide what to take out. So flip through, as there are some great photos within.
Just want to add a couple of other thoughts (was pretty spaced out when doing my recap early a.m.)
Adam on the big screens……..cannot describe how absolutely stunning he is ….the cameras can film him from any angle and he is over the top handsome…..with a present day Elvis hotness to him……occasionally he would do the Elvis nose thingy (can’t explain it) and lip curl…..and then smile that smile that makes one swoon……and then there is the “body”…….he has “it” all…..besides having the most incredible legs and delicious bum….his shoulders….biceps….etc…..kill….he has been working out big time…(he so needs to get a film role…..the man was born for close-ups)
Brian’s solo…..it was spellbinding for me …I could listen to him play all day ....the solo was magnificent and the screen background of the cosmos, while he played……so cool.
The sound, for me, ….really sucked…(again was on side left)…...lots of distortion and Adam’s speaking voice was hard to understand and some of the vocals were muddied from the system…...on TSMGO …I swear his mic was cutting out during those incredible high notes….like a squeak sound rather than his voice….was really pissed cuz he was giving us so much on the song….i’m hoping it was just some sound fluke from our side and not the whole arena ….
When Brian asked about the “new boy”….the whole arena went nuts…I mean really nuts……he was totally embraced by this crowd……this tour is so good for him on so many levels….exposure….vocal tuning….performance experience….and lastly…building his confidence….he is so confident on that stage …as I said in my recap…he now owns that stage……a big difference from the mini tour two years ago…big difference…….he is now an equal entity ….before…always felt he deferred a lot of the time to Brian and Roger….now he just struts his stuff and plays with Roger and Brian comfortably…..he is an equal………
In all…this show is a win-win for everyone…Adam…Brian…Roger…and US!.......and as to reviews (that SJ review was not really all that bad…guy is just not a Queen fan….. he did give kudos here and there) 95% are raves…….so what is there not to celebrate?…..plus I got to purchase a program with phenomenal shots of Queen and Adam….highly recommend it…worth the $30! :thumbs:
