I don't want to carry a gun. I want the government to protect me from those nutjobs who are not in the militia who have private/personal agendas to wipe out imagined threats.
My son is qualified and authorized to use a weapon in pursuit of his commitment to the Coast Guard - for him, qualifying on a weapon is a job. He has no interest in carrying a weapon as a private citizen.
