I'm crying. I know Adam wants to stay classy and take the high road, but can't his team do some damage control here? ::crying::

I might as well chime in with my thoughts about this whole debacle. It was the lawyers and accountants and managers who did the numbers crunching and when they hashed everything out; Demi's team must have decided that they were not willing to share the spotlight equally with Adam and wanted a bigger share of the pot. By shelling out money to just one management company, the overhead is less and it leaves more for the performers. I think they were just not willing to go out on a limb and take a chance with Adam. It was a fear of the unknown! I'm sure that Adam's team was every bit as intent on getting the best deal for Adam also.

Adam's fans are so passionate, I am not sure if most Glamberts are going to suddenly become Demi fans. I think most of us Glamberts are quite educated in the music scene and she has been around long enough that she would probably not gain many new fans from Adam's fandom. My guess is that tour revenues would have been good but the questionable element of gaining new fans for Demi would be something to ponder. Going with Nick worked in the past so they just stuck with that. I just really wonder how many times you can keep doing the same thing and not just become boring!

Since the only recent song I know for Demi is Cool for the Summer...I have no idea how that song will be very relevant in the middle of the Winter! ::haha::

The very poor, inconsiderate, uncouth manner in which they informed the public of the breakdown of negotiations was very unprofessional. Whoever was responsible, SHAME ON YOU! I guess in the entertainment business, leaking some not so truthful, juicy story is just their way to attract attention. As they say...any attention is better than no attention.

Adam looks like he is a lesser artist... I hate this friggin' #Tourgate and FU Demi! There I Said It!!!!!
We do not know how far the negotiation process was with Adams and Demis team. And I am sure sometimes Adams team will also make decisions that might hurt other artists. I remember an outcry from fans when he did not hire TJR back again "who always was a friend".

I said it before, the whole thing is unfortunate because it makes Adam look like a loser and I hate it too.

In times like this one a pr team can show whether they are worth their money. So far I see nothing from Adams team to do any damage control. Adams tweet was smart but not enough, I hope his team comes up with good news very fast. In this business perception and image is everything and I don`t want Adam to be seen as a dumped artist who is not big enough to tour with a "star".

That's just typical TMZ reporting. While they've become a credible source of entertainment news they still sensationalize the reporting of that news. It's just who they are and what they do.

I still don't think Adam is looking bad in any of this. Regardless of how TMZ reports it, Demi still comes off as the bad guy for getting rid if Adam at the last moment.

And to be honest I don't think the average, general pubic music fan is even aware or cares.

RL .... Still keeping me away .... jumpin in for a comment here tho ::flowers::

This really is to bad this happened ..... I always sort of liked Demi .....

However IMO she is the one who looks bad .....

I read a Perez Hilton article ..... Don 't know how accurate it is ..... However he called this event ......."not cool" .... The negotiations had gone pretty far ..... With lighting & billing .....

Then Demi's people changed their minds ......

Not cool :(

So IMO ..... People who follow Adam will know .....he was probably negotiating in good faith ....

And of course he would want the best for his part of the show .....

Anyways .... I agree with bebeg ..... Most people will not even know about this .....

However ...... Peeps in the business will know it is not his fault ......

Things happen for a reason ...... Adam has good Karma .....

Love that Adam is taking the high road ::wub::

Something better will happen for Adam ::wub:: ::flowers::

I get that it's a business decision and sometimes good business has to trump friendship. What irks me and what I think is wrong is that it seems like the change was made far into negotiations and that to justify it, DL's team seems to be trashing Adam.

Selena Gomez isn't a bad singer. I've heard a helluva lot worse. Having said that, she's not the best singer in the world, either. She's decent, though, and has some catchy tunes. Check out "Me & The Rhythm", from her new album. It's one of my favorites of hers.

I totally agree with you. It angers me that Adam is taking the brunt of this, like he doesn't matter.

I agree with this. Also. her sudden profession of love for Adam every day, makes her look more & more guilty. Hasn't she ever heard of overkill?

If by trashing you mean the report that Adam is a diva and difficult, if I'm remembering correctly that was on one gossip site. And anyone who knows Adam or knows of him would know how ridiculous that accusation is. IF anyone is actually talking about this they are calling it a business decision and not trashing Adam.

Again, I don't see how Adam is looking bad or being trashed. Demi is the one looking bad. And apparently some of her own fans are questioning her decision.

Rightly or wrongly, I've come away from this with a very negative opinion of Demi, and I don't think that Nick Jonas has exactly showered himself in glory either. To be honest, I'd always found him a bit vacuous, so Demi's welcome to his scintillating company on her tour ::haha::

The best antidote for all this? I went and blasted, first, Heavy Fire (glorious!!!), and then played some of the other songs from TOH that I hadn't listened to in a while, such as Rumors and Underground. All of them hit the spot---and I'm starting to feel passionately about Rumors being a great single, though I realize that it would hinge on Tove Lo being on board...

Wouldn't it be great if Adam duetted on this song with his opening artist (whose name escapes me right now) when he performs in Australia?

Meanwhile I'm still convinced that the masterly TOH should be the next single ::yes::

Totally agree with TOH Derek. They wouldn't want it that quickly, though, more like summer. So in the interim? Which one?

I, for one, want him to do his show solo. That may confine us to casino shows, but frankly, I've had my best times either there or at QAL stadiums...

Adam is better in intimate venues or fronting Queen. The end ::highfive::

Yes, Queen in stadiums works because the band's instrumental work and several voices singing in harmony provides a very full, rich sound in a large venue while Adam's songs work best in smaller venues because his voice is the standout; the band/electronics, etc. support his vocals but don't really add more than the basics to replicate the original recording.

I'd like to see him performing in arenas as the headliner with an opening act or two. Odds are that's not happening right now. That's why I would have been (will be happy) if he is an opening act/shared billing with someone who is on an arena tour. It would be great for him to be on a bigger stage, in front of a larger audience singing his own music.

When I told my niece that Demi's tour is coming close to us her response was 'damn, it would have been great to see Adam on a larger stage when he isn't 'post idol Adam' or 'Queen Adam' but Adam being Adam".

And when you guys talk about TOH being the next single, you mean the third single? Another Lonely Night hasn't even gone to radio yet.

IMHO Adam is trying to break out of small venues. It would be the logical progression in his career, no? And the Demi tour was in arenas. Further convincing me that that was the route he wanted to go in.

I, for one, would like and hope he can be an arena act one day on his own. I strongly believe that his music and voice can lend itself to arenas just as well as Queen songs. He is a powerhouse. ::smile::
