The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards is officially kicked off Sunday, January 31 with the arrival of celebrities especially people in music industry to the red carpet. As usual, stealing the runway is Lady GaGa who appears with yellower hair and a complicated solar system-themed gown.

Turns out the gown that shows off her leg is one design by Georgio Armani. "I am honoured to be wearing Armani this evening. The series of pieces Mr. Armani created for me are truly iconic; they represent not only beautiful fashion, but my spirit and essence as an artist," she says in a statement to the press. GaGa, who is scheduled to perform later that night, adds there will be a lot more costume changing later.

From the guy's side, Adam Lambert is very Adam Lambert. He sparkles with his suit which has glittery details and heavy eye make up which becomes his glam signature. Adam is ET's correspondent of fashion, stopping several celebrities to scrutinize them on the outfits.

People saw Adam in the audience? I'm DVR'ing the Grammys - awards shows make me cringe live. Hm, I thought he wasn't supposed to be on camera?

The vintage tie is gorgeous. So Colbert told an Adam joke? Without saying "American Idol runner up?" Win. Plus the BEP cameo (except, is he really flipping off the camera?) So Adam didn't present, but he was all over the red carpet, strutting plus interviewing, mentioned at the top of the evening, flashed across the screen, plus he'll be on ET tomorrow night. Not shappy.

LMAO at Ke$ha and Bieber. I think she's adorable, but she looked like his drunk babysitter. Seriously. Bieber looked like he was waiting for his next breastfeeding. It may have just been bad teleprompt stuff that messed them up.

In pictures, it looks like Adam is tag teaming with that Kevin guy from ET? I wonder why they don't just let Adam do it alone?

And that E promo using the Brad Walsh FYE was hilarious - thanks for posting. Go go song that won't die.

If you dvr'd the show...right after Bon Jovi, the cameras move out to the extended round stage. When they got there, my attention was drawn to this sparkly guy to the bottom left and a second later, He, turns around and sure enough it's Adam! Lane is sitting next to him, black dress and ponytail. He is shown a number of times through Rihanna's acceptance. Looked great and of course he stood out in the whole crowd even when his back was to the crowd!

ADAM LAMBERT He wouldn't be Glamberace unless he looked like he was an extra from Siegfried & Roy's 1989 stage show. He managed to tone down the rainbow sparkle ever so slightly, although his eye makeup was the night's best unintentional tribute to Tammy Faye Bakker, and his tie paid homage to Colonel Sanders. Who knew Lambert could be so sentimental?
