He was perfectly glorious on Ellen. He sounded magnificent and looked stunning. He was interpreting the song as he always does. The song is sad and angsty and meloncholy. OFC the energy level was reflecting that. He wouldn't be jumping around with such lyrics. [0062.gif] When he is finally moving and free styling dancing, imo, that is the part of the song that is about hope for his ghost town heart.

I will concede that he was slightly nervous. Shoshanna even tweeted that. It reminded me of when he performed BTIKM for the first time on Leno. We all know ghost town will get better and better for him. But I was not disappointed in any way today at all. He never disappoints. [thumbsup.gif]

just watched the performance on the tube.........first have to say..... he looked absolutely stunning.........he is so incredibly handsome.......performance wise .....the energy was less.... but.... i think i felt that way because i have watched the GT vid so much with it's frenetic pace ....any performance, at the moment, would seem to have less intensity....
but also agree with vista...that he seemed nervous for the first verse...(the first note seemed a bit off)....but felt he hit his stride going into the second verse.....of course nit picking here........the man is Adam Lambert, after all........ [thumbsup.gif]

I think you hit the nail on the head with what you said about the frenetic pace of the video as compared to the performance. Although I actually enjoy when a performance isn't exactly like the recording.

And just like with the video the more I watch the performance the more I love it.

The American Idol alum, decked out head to toe in white, sang the track flawlessly and even incorporated some dance moves during the whistle part of the chorus.

Loving the new band. I guess it well take some a while to get used to no Tommy by Adams side haha. But I think it was a necessary and inevitable change. Tommy's fine doing other stuff that suits him more. Adam sounded amazing as usual. TBH I have never seen him so confident, just overall know he is the complete performer now.

I loved it too!! It's a pretty rare day when there are more enthusiastic comments at MJ's Blog (of all places) about an Adam performance than there are here, so I was also a little worried before I watched it just now.

But it was wonderful! Adam looked and sounded great, it was very atmospheric, and, most important of all, it worked. In fact, the transition from the first verse to the non-acoustic chorus seemed even more seamless here, and it was very exciting when Adam tore into the bridge of the song.

Great stuff! Definitely an "A" performance!!

Well, I've watched Adam's performance on The Ellen Show and it was GREAT! [clap.gif]

He did seam a little nervous and tentative in the beginning (still feeling his way through that softer part of the song)...but boy did he hit it strong in the bridge and I always love when he starts getting dancy and grooving to the beat!

The more I watch it the more I enjoy it! The first time it just seemed way too short. Listening on repeat on Youtube is definitely a necessity. It is also a necessity to repeat for the purpose of studying that hot body in those tight white pants! [thumbsup.gif]

Each new version of the song that we get seems to require a lot of listens to absorb everything. I have watched so many videos and talk show performances of other singers/bands where I can't even watch or listen to the entire song....so kudos to Adam for holding my attention for hundreds of listens! [thumbs.gif]

FINALLY got to watch this.....lol, had to watch 3 times because I kept getting distracted by how gorgeous he looked and wasn't paying attention to the vocals.

I thought he did great, I didn't really detect any nerves [wtf.gif]

But you know the performance will change every time he does it so whatever one did or didn't like....it'll be different the next time around heh.

I love that about him.
