Oh that makes me sad. I sat next to him at dinner in Wilkes Barre the opening night of Glam Nation tour. And we had some nice private conversations over at IDF. I've thought of him often over these past few years and wondered how he was. The memory of him is a nice a part of this Adam journey.

Funny, you should mention Wilkes Barre and the GNT... After the show, I gave Eric a ride to Sayreville, the next show.

We had decided that it was best to drive there right after the WB show. I had borrowed my son's GPS which I was using for the first time. I was following it blindly and we ended up in this very dark area, no traffic at all and then we got BIG FLASHING LIGHTS behind us... a police car was pulling us over.

It turned out that we had entered a 'restricted protected area' and we were very suspect... The officer was kind, recognized my Quebec plates and accepted my explanation and gave us directions on how to get back on course... He was gorgeous by the way... After he let us go, I jokingly told Eric that I wouldn't have minded if the officer had taken me into custody... to which Eric replied: "Me neither, but I get first dibs!"

Eric was one of those kind souls that reminded me very much of Adam's philosophy of life.

Yes, Eric was incredibly brave to ride with me.... Especially since he was the first one I told my Fantasy Springs travel fiasco to!

I have sad news today... Eric Hixson passed away... He was a member back at IDF. I had nicknamed him Charles-In-Charles when we organized a 'get together' at Fantasy Springs back in February 2010, Adam's first solo show.

His brother posted on FB that he passed in his sleep, had ongoing health problems...

RIP, Eric...

I am so sad to hear this. I was just thinking about messaging you recently to ask about Eric, as I'd been thinking about him lately, wondering where & how he was. Thanks for letting us know... and I haven't been on here in forever, either.

I did get to meet Eric (and you too Marie) at the FM Kirby Center at Adam's first GNT show in Wilkes-Barre, PA. There was a get-together there as well, with IDFers. It seems so long ago now.

Vampfever managed to do a few fixes before getting back to work...

Put avis on the left with a really cool-looking "Online" bar!
Made the posting area smaller so you don't have to scroll down endlessly.
Made the writing bigger...

It's starting to look like home again.



Also check out the new 2017 QAL threads I'm opening... Look at the bottom of the first post, there's a little scroll bar to move the pic over for better viewing... Cool, huh?
