What an amazing Angel Awards 2017 gala we had on Saturday. Because of our generous donors, we were able to raise a grand total of $600,000 and surpass our fundraising goal by $100,000! These funds will be able provide 120,000 meals for our clients. During the event, the late and great George Michael was posthumously honored with Project Angel Food’s Elizabeth Taylor Leadership Award. To date, George is Project Angel Food’s single largest donor. Adam Lambert performed a special musical tribute to George to celebrate his incredible commitment to the organization. We also honored KTLA 5 News' Jason Ball (Vice President, News) and Gayle Anderson (KTLA 5 Morning News Reporter) for their outstanding commitment to the organization, as well as Nordstrom being a longtime corporate partner and active participant in our mission. We also wanted to give a shout out to Marcellas Reynolds for his spectacular and hilarious coverage of the event on Facebook Live. Thank you to all our attendees, donors, board, staff, volunteers and Facebook Live audience for making #AngelAwards2017 a huge success. We couldn’t have done this without you!
