Looking at the pictures Z100 was thrilled to have Adam there. In addition to introducing Taylor, he gave press interviews, posed for fan pictures, mugged for the camera, and had his picture taken with countless products as a form of endorsement. He schmoozed, or networked like glitterynfierce noted, with important radio, media, celebrities and other important people in the entertainment industry. He has to make friends in the business to get ahead and the Jingle Balls are a great opportunity for him to do so. Finally, he got his name mentioned and WWFM played on the radio and he got press about his participation in it.

I'm baaaack. I'm pretty sure you guys know everything that happened.
From my seats I could see everyone warming up backstage, and I saw Adam hanging out at the side before Taylor Swift and he waved to a section of the audience and they screamed for him!

That's all I've got. :P
Oh and I'm half deaf because of the ear-shattering screams for Justin. I've never heard anything like it...
I yelled "Go back to Canada", but nobody heard. :(

Oooh, also, they had this thing where you text z100 and they would scroll the messages on the huge monitor thingies, and a few times I saw "I LOVE ADAM LAMBERT" or "Adam Lambert marry me? ~Cassidy", and stuff like that.

He didn't say much...encouraged people to buy his CD, said you could play it at the gym, or dance around to it..

I think he got a good reception. The people who introduced never got many cheers compared to most of the performers though.

UGH sigh, I don't even think I should waste my time trying to explain how PAYOLA gigs work to you but whatever I'm a masochist so here I go. He wasn't added bc RCA didn't think that demo was right for him or they didn't want to spring for the band it has nothing to do with sponsers or any of that nonsense. Ke$ha had about 5 minutes because of her late add on and if you blinked you missed her. These shows are SET from a long time ago and RCA wasn't interested in booking him on any of them and any late add on of Adam would include him getting a mere 5 minutes to sing with his band ($$$$) and him getting paid (-$) that makes NO financial sense to RCA when they can just as well fly him out SOLO to schmooze with the Program directors and DJs, do some press etc and still get radio plays. Really, you would have rathered Adam open up for the likes of Bibs and Jordin Sparks to an audience that is NOT really his demo, get no $$ for said gig than instead shmooze with the radio peeps backstage and still get radio plays. If you listened to the interview with Adam and the DJ from yesterday even though he was joking, it was quite clear they would have to bump another performer to fit him in for a proper set.
