Adam Lambert's 'Time For Miracles' Video To Debut Before 'This Is It'
A '2012' trailer that includes the 'American Idol' runner-up's music video will be shown before Michael Jackson documentary.

In addition to putting the finishing touches on his major-label debut and announcing the nominees for the 2009 American Music Awards, where he will be performing, Adam Lambert just finished shooting the music video for "Time for Miracles," a song recorded for the upcoming end-of-the-world blockbuster "2012."

"[The video] was really performance-driven. It was really about the lyric content and the emotional guts of the song," Lambert told MTV News on Tuesday (October 13) in Los Angeles.
But given that the tune is being used in a Roland Emmerich-helmed disaster flick, fans should expect a doomsday element to the clip as well. "There were a ton of extras on the set. What they were doing is they were staging scenes reminiscent of what happens in '2012,' " Lambert said.

Specifically, the "American Idol" rocker pointed to one sequence in the video where he sings calmly while chaos surrounds him. "I'm just walking through looking straight at the camera singing the song, and there's a riot going on around me — people being tossed in front of me, looting, you know, people being arrested," Lambert described. "That was pretty wild, to try to stay focused on the song while that was happening. But we had fun. It was a good day."

Recording the song was perhaps more of a challenge. Lambert explained that working with producer Rob Cavallo on the power ballad was fairly intense. "[He] pushed me to the limit," Lambert said. "I sang for my life. It was quite a day of recording, but it turned out great." Cavallo and Lambert went on to work together on several tracks that might end up on Lambert's CD come November 24. (Cavallo spilled three song titles to Yahoo! Music on Tuesday, including "Suburban Decay," "Winners" and "Music Again.")

A small snippet of "Time for Miracles" leaked late last week, but Lambert told us to expect the full song later this week. "I believe on the 18th [Saturday], 'Time for Miracles' will be released. ... I'm really happy about it."

Lambert is especially happy about where fans will be able to see the "Time for Miracles" video: the big screen. "The '2012' trailer that we put together with the ['Time for Miracles' music video] will be premiering at the Michael Jackson film," Lambert revealed to MTV News, referring to a special trailer that will run before the upcoming documentary "Michael Jackson's This Is It."

THE ET stuff with him and Paula is adorable....love that she calls him a "Star" then corrects herself and says "Superstar" and that he says 'I love you" and she says "No, I love you you more but that's ok."
Adam is the best dang thing American Idol ever discovered and I think those involved with the show know it.
Also, how well spoken is he????? Just so gorgeous, so well-spoken and intelligent...he's going to be HUGE!

Sorry if Hollygo72 already told this story. I am still trying to read all the pages. As we were waiting in line to interview Adam. Jai's publicist came through the line to see if anyone wanted to interview Jai while waiting. Everyone flat out said no. I was the only one who yes as Adam was still way down the line and the outlet I was next two said that they would hold my space and did. I went to interview Jai in some chair near by. I told him that I was going to find my photographer to get a photo of him. I looked and did not see Hollygo72 any where. Jai said he is probably taking photos. I said it is a she. He then said well has to be trying to see Adam. I thought it was funny because when I looked around to see where Adam was moving down the line, I then saw Hollygo72, so Jai was right. Then he started talking about Adam so that was an extra bonus. Then when Hollygo came back over, we went over and got the photo of Jai.

Oh yes. As I told Hollygo, Adam definitely made the press conference interesting. Everyone wanted to talk to him. Snopp Dogg made it down the line pretty quickly. Last year, I remember Jesse Mc Cartney was just standing around waiting for some one to interview him. I spent a good 30 minutes with him just chatting about whatever because he was just there. One more thing. Linda Dorf from Dick Clark Productions, explained the rules and told every one that after it was the press conference was over for every one to sit down and wait for their interviews. She said last year was too crazy so she was giving out the "rules". I think she knew that it would be a mad house for Adam. I was at the conference last year and as I stated the demand was no where near this years. So it was good that she gave out the rules for media. I am sure that Holly or I will think of more tidbits later on. It was a great day. I have to go get some work done but I can't stop reading the Adam news.

On the regular TV News on ABC at 4:00 pm they showed Paula, Adam and Snoop walking up to the Microphone to make the AMA announcements. The TV Anchor did the talking and you could not hear Adam, Paula or Snoop, but they showed them for awhile and the FLASH BULBS from the cameras were going off soo fast flashing white on their faces. I loved just seeing Adam on TV. This might happen on all the TV News Shows tonight.

It's people who forget that the competition is over.

TV shows, the industry, and the media no longer care who won Idol. It is up to each Idol to sell themselves as artists and to land their own gigs (with the help of management, of course). Winning Idol is not a free ticket: All the hard work starts after the show ends and I'm sure Kris realizes this and is not planning (or at least realizes) to ride on Idol's coattails.

It's a tough business: If SNL or the AMAs want to book Adam, they will book Adam. They are not gonna book Taylor Hicks or Kris first just b/c they are idol winners or have a title.

As an aside, the AMAs may not have heard Adam's single, but I'm pretty sure they heard SOMETHING from him which is amazing b/c u know what that means.....his album is gonna be off-the-chain and they loved what they heard.
