Excerpts:
I spent the waiting time visiting with the people in line in front of me. It was a mom, her daughter and a friend of the daughter. The friend was writing "Kris Allen" on the daughter's arm, and then she wrote "Allison" on the other arm. The friend had "Glambert" written on her cheek. She asked if I wanted something, and I said, "Ooo, yeah! I was hoping you could write 'Lambskank' on my arm!" She gasped and said, "You're a Lambskank? Cool!" I felt like a celebrity! LOL. I guess the Skanks are somewhat known. *g*

It was so cool, nearly everyone I talked to was a fan of both Kris and Adam, just like me. And this is all people from Arkansas, so really, very cool.

AND NOW AND NOW AND NOW.......ADAM LAMBERT!!! SQUEEEEE! The one I was waiting for! So AWESOME!!! I bought concert tickets and binoculars just for this! And it was so worth it! He's just brilliant live; just unbelievable. "Whole Lotta Love" was just as sexually charged here in Arkansas as it was in San Diego, which made me happy. And the audience loved it! Every time he moved his hips everybody screamed! And when he made passionate love to the mike stand everybody shrieked! So awesome! LOL! So he made his way through "Starlight" (gorgeous) and "Mad World" (ethereally beautiful); Allison came out for "Slow Ride" and the audience loved it. And then the amazing Bowie Medley, my absolute favorite! His dancing during Fame is just...whoa! So good! And then "Let's Dance" was fierce! Then he sank down into the stage. Screaming fans!!!!
1. Arkansas Democrat Gazette - calls Slow Ride 'the night's most magical music moment':
Quoted in comments at

"Adam Lambert, the glam rocker in guy-shadow who preceded Allen as Idol’s runner up. He wowed with his wailing during a robust “Whole Lotta Love” and a kinetic David Bowie medley. The night’s most magical music moment was Lambert’s masterful “Slow Ride” duet with fourth-place finisher and powerhouse Allison Iraheta who showed seasoning well beyond her 17 years."

"They were going wild for Adam. Of course, he performed flawlessly. I loved loved loved the jacket. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the vest!!! I could see his party side coming out on stage with his moves. Of course, I was melting in my seat. Slow Ride with Allison was great. I love the chemistry between the two."
