I have noticed over the years that in Japan and in a few other countries where Adam has performed, they are very conscientious regarding personal space. I suppose that is because they already live in such close quarters in a heavily populated country. This is probably their way of avoiding conflict and keeping the peace.
I looked back at the old video of the Tokyo "I Was Born To Love You" and can see that there is a big difference between this indoor venue and the outdoor one that was Standing/General Admission.
