Ha ha ha! From Adam's reply, I totally got what Shoshanna was referring to.
Growing up in Taiwan, we always had family meals (& in restaurants), so most of the time, the fish was served as whole fish with head, eyes, tail & fins intact instead of fillets. I never thought of anything of it (I even enjoy eating the fish eyes). It wasn't until an author, while visiting my country, posted a FB photo & message saying it was so unnerving having fish (her dinner) staring back at her, that I realized that not everyone has seen a whole fish in their life.
I think Shosh would enjoy the delicious Korean food very much, she just has to get used to the fish giving her "fish eyes"!
