I like the leopard suit, but I would like it more if it fit tighter. It needs to be tailored to his body or maybe redesign it, so it look more chic and modern. As for the crown, Adam wouldn't be wearing it if Brian and Roger hadn't given their okay. I'm sure Bri and Roger is giving a small jab at the jerks who criticize and whine all the time and make them feel like they were suppose to stop playing their music when Freddie died. I think they are past sick of it and have reached a point where they don't give a damn and want to spend the time they have left on stage, making themselves happy. To me, Adam seems to have revitalize Queen and showed them that they still matter and that people want to see them. The ultimate to me is that Brian and Roger are happy on stage again, they are having the time of their lives and they should savor ever moment of it. That crown is symbolic statement from Queen to the world, Adam Lambert is our lead singer, deal with it.

So sorry to hear about your accident. Hope you will recover soon.
Please don't stop watching the videos, Adam is the best medicine. :D
I'm waiting for him to come out with the suit jacket open...then I'll
love the suit!!! I do love the crown :w00twave:
(If you're reading this Adam...those trousers are just too loose)
I went to the Chicago show and didn't get the crown either. But then my Queen fan friend told me that this was a Queen tradition with Freddie, including playing God Save the Queen during final bows to the audience. (I heard strains of that in Chicago - are they still playing it at other shows?) Anyway, learning the crown was a throwback to Freddie days helped me feel better about it, though I don't know how it goes over with other casual fans who might not know the history. As for the suit - looks fine to me and I've seen call-outs to it from Twitter fans, so i don't see it as a problem.
So sorry to hear about your accident!
I thought the opposite! I was concerned that the die hard Queen/Freddie fans knew this was a Thing with Freddie wearing a crown and would find it arrogant of Adam, like he was taking "Freddie's" crown.

I am so sorry Sagitarius. Like everyone else, I hope for a speedy recovery and another chance to see Adam & Queen, but mostly that you are going to be okay. <3
Hope we're all friends here and I don't get drummed off the site fear.gif but I want to know if any others feel as I do re Adam's final "outfit" ; leopard suit and crown.
This is the sixth concert and I've obsessively watched all the photos, vids, instagrams , reviews etc as I do after each one , and rejoice in the glowing tweets and the love ...
Adam has several costumes, rocker, Killer Queen, red shirt variation, gold pants and lace shirt, and all fit in. I love the videos of the couch and the enjoyment of his campiness; indeed, very endearing. And I understand, or think I do, the point of the suit and crown , but I wish after Chicago and the "crowning" by Brian May it had been retired.
Adam's voice and charisma speaks for itself; the audience is going wild for an encore and coming out in the regal attire, imo, is pretentious and takes away from the power of the moment. To me,much more humble and fitting for the reappearance would be no costume, but simple black pants and shirt like the iHeart concert.
Vancouver was supposed to be MY concert but a very bad car accident curtailed my plans and maybe I'm over thinking wallowing in my disappointment. sad.gif
aww....hope you're ok.
In some ways I agree with you about the suit & crown. I don't love the suit, anyway. OFC, I understand the reason behind this last costume..channeling and paying tribute to Freddie who appeared with a crown and fur-trimmed robe.
I think that by doing it only in Chicago, they probably felt it was unfair to all the other fans across NA. Perhaps he should have kept the suit after Chicago, and eliminated the crown. Nothing could top Brian placing that crown on his head that first night.

To me the true genius of it all is that it has meaning on so many levels.....
My favorite is the "God Save the Queen" musical accompaniment and royal wave ...a culmination of all the silliness and fun that they are having and sharing with us all!! And on a more serious note, perhaps an acknowledgment and tribute to Adam's openness and honesty about his sexuality, such a beautiful and admirable part of his on and offstage persona!!
"Killer Queen">>the royal crowning>>"Queen" & Adam Lambert Champion Showmen.......hilarious and powerful and moving all at the same time...genius!!!

Thanks guys for the kind words  ... tho' the accident wasn't my fault, the life disruption is major ! (not the least of which is dealing with the insurance company ) :fear:
My thoughts on the suit were greatly influenced by my son who is a Queen fanatic...I raised my kids on their music and each day taking them to school we'd play WATC, I'm Going Slightly Mad etc (not unlike the video of the family in the car all singing BoRap) just to give them a fun start for the day.
When I read the comments from "only pure Freddie will do" fans, I simply picture my son and know it's an uphill battle to change his mind. And frankly he'd be the same if Led Zep had another frontman other than Plant.
In five years his first concession to AL was the iHeart 2013, and he's laughed at the current Killer Queen set but not the suit and crown. Feels it takes away from the power of the encore. Maybe that's really what it is for me also...not the costume but the timing...because honestly, there is no one in the world who could look as beautiful as Adam in that crown.
To add:
After re reading my post from last night I really don't think Brian, Roger or Adam have a pretentious bone in their body...I do believe they are an incredibly loving group of friends who put on a fabulous show filled with love.

I just wanted to add that only when you're that good can you have that much fun ... and THEY ARE ALL THAT GOOD!
Heal quickly and know that there will be many more times to see Adam and IMHO, Adam and Queen. :flowers:
