They usually are selling something or they have links that they get paid for on a 'per click' basis. Most of them are computer-based... there's no human at the other end doing the registration... it's all computer programming. Every site has them. Stupid question, but what's the purpose of the spamming? I don't usually go into the suspect threads, so I don't know if they're selling something or want you to click on links, or what?
I can usually tell by the weird names or thread titles.

Here, we are ONE board so I see them all. Since last night, there seems to have been a flood of activity from the spammers... Dunno why....
Members shouldn't be seeing their posts or new topics though... Do you still see them before I get to them to prune them out?
