I'm sorry I didn't get on here last night to share about the concert, although I see others have already done that. [smile.gif] I took my elderly neighbor to the concert to see Adam for the first time, got hit with a deluge of torrential wind and rain as we left the stadium, had a hard time finding the car because the rain was so heavy, you couldn't see, got stuck in the usual massive parking lot gridlock, was "forced" out an unfamiliar exit, ended up on the wrong parkway with few lights unable to read any signs and going way out of the way. My neighbor did make me laugh when she said, "Boy, if Adam only knew what what we go through for him!"
Anyway, theconcert as a whole was very good. We had really good seats, down on the floor about 10 rows back.Adam went on third and he was better than very good; he was incredible! (Although, honestly, when is he ever not) He looked fabulous - tight black, ripped jeans, black sleeveless shirt with rows of sparkles down the front by the buttons. And muscles! Woah...muscles! Even one of the DJs said he looked hot. He did Ghost Town, WWFM, and Evil in the Night and knocked itout of the park. I could hear/see people singing along to Ghost Town and I think that he noticed that because you could see him really looking at people, not just "over the crowd". Mostly everyone was standing and dancing along. And I love when he freestyle dances! He is really a good dancer, and I love watching him.
I don't recall him introducing the band this time, which he usually does. I thought I saw Cam on keyboards and having read this thread, I see I was right. The band sounded good, and I saw Adam a few times, esp when he first started singing, motion with his hands either to the guitarist or maybe sound person to either make something louder/softer/etc. Everything he did sounded pretty perfect to me.
Originally I was upset (with the promoter, not Adam) that he only did 3 songs when other people did about 6 each. It seemed like he was off before you knew it. But the more I thought about it, I figured he was a last minute add-on and probably didn't have a lot of time to rehearse with his new band. Knowing Adam, he's a perfectionist with his music,,and I could see him not wanting to go on with something he hadn't rehearsed until it was exactly the way he wanted it. So, while I was disappointed, I finally came to terms with it.
They were showing people's tweets scrolling across the jumbotrons. Lots of positive Adam comments but the one that made me laugh said, "Adam Lambert, I want to marry you and your hair"!
BTW, the young woman next to me (who I don't think was there for Adam)bdisappeared for a few minutes and when she came back, I asked her if security (our guy was pretty by-the-book) had let her through to take a picture. She said yes and then said, "He's REALLY handsome!" Oh, yeah, he is! [happy.gif]

Aww...good for you! Glad you got to see him..even though the weather was a disaster. He WAS gorgeous...and in perfect voice as usual!
I think you are right...he was last minute add, but probably his short set was due to the fact he had a flight to catch to Sweden.

Thanks for sharing! The young woman next to you was right -- he looked incredible!! (when doesn't he?)
Yes, I believe since he was an obvious last minute addition he had a short set. Makes sense though. I doubt he and the band are rehearsing more than a few songs since right now he's only doing promo. No need to rehearse for a full set...just yet!

Thanks for the hug, I needed it by the time I got home, lol!
This was actually the 5th time I got to see Adam live - Idols Tour, Glamnation, 2 Queen shows and this. The best part of this show was the closeness of our seats and seeing Ghost Town and Evil in the Night being performing live in concert for the first time. (Am I right? Wasn't this the first time he has performed them in concert? Oh, wait, did he do them at the Box in NYC a few weeks ago? Darn! Oh, well, thought I was there for a bit of Adam history but maybe not! Review: Adam Lambert fantastic at KTUphoria at Jones Beach Theater Special
He began his set with his haunting yet elegant new ballad and radio single "Ghost Town," where he was able to show off some neat dance moves. "Get up and dance, c'mon," Lambert said, mid-way through the song, urging his fans to let loose and have a good time.
"What's up guys? You having fun?" he asked the Long Island crowd, prior to belting out his signature song "Whataya Want From Me."
"Are you guys having fun? Are you feeling good?" Lambert asked. "I see you guys dancing out there. I see you people singing the words. That's right," he said, prior to advertising that his brand new album, The Original High, will be coming out on June 16, on Warner Bros. Records. He closed with "Evil In the Night," a new tune from his upcoming studio album, and judging from his dynamic vocal performance, it is safe to say that it's a keeper. Bravo.
"Thank you ladies and gentlemen," he said, prior to taking a bow. "Give it up for this band, c'mon. Thank you guys. Have a good night."
The Verdict
Vocally, Adam Lambert proved to be in a league of his own at KTUphoria. His stage presence was exceptional, and he was able to hit the high notes effortlessly, while interacting well with the crowd, which inevitably loved him in return. His mini-concert garnered an A rating.
