so HOLY crap, even in a low quality livestream (but also AWESOME, thank you Lynn!!!) that show was f@ckin amazing. i can't wait to see videos... and i CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT LIVE :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

1. Adam is the PERFECT stand-in for Freddie. if i can't be Freddie up there, it should be Adam. they share the bombastic vocal ability, the ballsy flamboyance, the strut, the nerve... No one better to be a channel for Freddie's legacy to a new audience than Adam.

2. The MUSIC. DAMN. again, if that's how it sounds in a little livestream, i can't imagine how transcendent that was live. the band is in TOP form. it's no wonder Brian and Roger don't want to stop playing. it would be a crime.

3. those costumes made me :w00t: B) :whistling: :w00twave: :haha: oh my god, Adam is pure entertainment.

^THAT is Freddie's crown. that style of crown was very distinct and it was the only style Freddie wore. Adam, no doubt, chose a completely different style to make it clear that he's not "taking" it (like i'm sure some Queen fans will cry). it's an homage. i'm sure, though, that that distinction won't matter to the purists who are aching to get pissed about something.

Adam has never, in the past, made any direct visual nod to Freddie's stage act (no half mic stand, no British flag as a robe, no yellow buckle jacket, etc.). on what just might be the last full Queen tour ever, i enjoyed the 'crowning' nod.

I don't see why they wouldn't do it. It will sell when you combine Adam's fans and the sane Queen fans (I'm both so I'll have to buy doubles :haha: ).

Do you guys remember that the London shows were professionally filmed???? I wonder what they did with the footage and why they didn't release it? Those shows were epic!

Adam singing Queen songs in U.S.A. has this audience too stunned with his beauty and vocal prowess. They were just wanting to be still to soak it all in and stand there with big grins on their faces! :D :wub:

The whole evening was magical.....Adam and the band are so comfortable together on stage. Adam's killer vocals put everyone on notice that he is here to stay. :hug: Most important, what has he been doing, his thighs and butt are perfection and the biceps aren't bad either.

I think part of the issue for QAL for purists is it was unexpected. It's like a marrage first the hated the idea of it, now they hate that they don't hate the idea of it, now they are starting to love the idea of QAL. Freddie is Adam's peer, this is in no way unsurpling or dissecting Freddie's legacy, his place in rock and contemporary music is indefinite. Has been since his death in 1991, if Adam who is once in a life time didn't come along, their would be no point of difference. I feel Freddie has left a gaping hole in their life's, and until Adam came along they didn't think it would the same ever again, enter Adam. He is the natural successor not unsurpler to Freddie, he is just continuing his legacy. Some Queen Purists don't realize that some fans didn't know who Queen was until QAL, so it has introduced them to a whole new generation. I am sure Freddie writing these songs, didn't want them to just be a single on a chart, he wanted them to be timeless. Unfortunately he is not around to sing them, but he has someone who has the same level of vocal talent to produce the level Queen have been missing before Freddie's death. I think people take things too seriously and need to relax and just enjoy the music.

was surrounded by Queen fans. The boy next to me was 26, alone, and played guitars. We took the bus back and met a 50 year old guy who had seen Queen with Freddie many times. Every single person I talked to was surprised and optimist.. They are looking for more tickets.

For me, I was sobbing at several points. That's never happened before. He was just so happy and in his element. I remembered Paso Robles , when he lost the label, and he was grim and resolute. So nice to see him so totally appropriately placed,
