Further more, he gave us provocative topics. After American Idol, he made it public that he was a gay in an interview of a magazine.
He said, "I noticed I 'm gay at 13 and came out at 18. I have never thought these kind of media's uproar would happen. Sexuality is a part of me and very natural to me, and I'm proud of being gay."
He made a passionate kiss to his male band member, while singing at the live TV show and a lot of protests were sent to the TV station. But he fearlessly refuted it as "the freedom of expression".
"I did sexual motions with female dancers but they gave whole eyes on the motion with male. I felt it reflected the circumstances of today's American society. Though It may be slow, I want to change things which are regarded as taboo in this society."
