My friend who I went to see yesterday, passed away... I'm glad I saw him but am shocked... I honestly thought he had more time left. I saw my husband in his final days and didn't think my friend was that close to the end.

Life sucks sometimes... Fucking cancer!!!!

I'm very sorry about your friend, Marie. This probably won't make you feel much better but unfortunately, I know how you're feeling. I also lost one of my best friends to pancreatic cancer. We went to school together and had been friends since elementary school, and she lived across the street from me. She was diagnosed in February of 2014, and died on Easter sunday of that same year. She was only 43. We were all shocked because of how quickly she went downhill. Her mother said she kept having some digestive problems and went to the doctor, but nobody expected to hear that kind of news. It's a really sneaky cancer. You usually don't have symptoms until it's too late.

Marie ...I am so sorry ..have been there ,too, and am dealing with it now, with a doctor friend of mine whose life was healthy & athletic (marathons) ...what i take from all this is ...one must enjoy... to the fullest.... every waking hour! ...hugs and ::heart:: to you.

On a different note.......and how i came into the thread, is the Grammys......and the Bowie tribute. I now know that Gaga is doing a tribute......but i see peeps pushing for adam and Nile to also be part of this...Nile did tweet to adam about getting together around this time and adam is free Feb. 15 ...the day of the Grammys....do you guys think it is conceivable that Nile and adam may just be apart of this?........adam is so perfect.......and it is a shame not to have an artist like him representing Bowie...

I'm so sorry Marie and unfortunately I know it all too well - too many friends and relatives passed away from cancer, starting from my Mom 40 years ago and then many others - the last one was 6 months ago, a friend...
Sending you big hugs!

Marie - so sorry to hear about your friend. Cancer sucks and especially any illness with the pancreas. I'm not sure why when something is wrong with it, we lose our loved ones quickly. :(

Death is everywhere ::crying:: A dearly beloved coworker of mine called in sick this morning, her family went to check on her and found her unconscious. She was taken to the hospital, and was dead by lunchtime, apparently she was bleeding internally. ::cryblownose::

Don't mind me, have to brag for a minute ::ninja::

My son just passed his 3rd CPA exam, with a whopping 91!! ::woohoo:: ::woohoo::

So proud of him...he had 90 on his first one, 85 on second, and 91 on the third.

One more to go and he's done, so excited for him....it's been stressful. ::thumbsup::
