I know. That's why I copy the whole thing. Close the reply box. Go to the thread where I want it. Add reply, paste the whole thing... It will have the "Quote" information and will be in a pink box in whatever thread you post it.

Go grab one and bring it here. ::grin::
Ok, I'll try again.
OK. ::thumbsup::

DON'T USE ADD REPLY IN THE SEA OF RED THREAD (or any thread you want to quote from), just use "Quote"? You should get the whole post in a Reply box. Then you copy the whole thing by selecting all of it (Ctrl-A), copying it (Ctrl-C), close the reply box, go to whatever thread you want, Post reply and paste the whole thing (Ctrl-V).

Try again to bring a post in here.

But it says "reply with quote" when I hover over it and it always opens the reply box. Do I highlight the info in the reply box before pressing Control A?

When you press 'quote' there, you WILL get a reply box opened. In it, you should see everything that's in that post in your reply box... same as here.

Once you have that whole post, you select it all by clicking Ctrl-A, then you copy your selected text (which should be all highlighted at that point), Ctrl-C. Close the reply box. Come here. Click on Post Reply, Ctrl-V.

Try again. ::hello::

OK, I did it again...with a little editing since the post was so long! ::smile:: I just need to keep my notes handy!

My big problem now is that my computer takes forever to scroll through the Sea of Red Thread! I'm waiting for my IT expert to return home from his honeymoon in Hawaii so that I can get a new one.

JSYK, I'm going to go make pages 25 posts long instead of 50...

I find that pages that have a lot of videos/images are lagging a little.

Don't be surprised if your favorite threads seem to double in size before your eyes!

::bleh::

ETA: I also moved some smilies to the "View more smilies" section... I think most of the favorites are still on the standard screen.

Me again.... It was bothering me to not bring the posts from the Sea of Red into specific threads because if you wanted to look up something up months from now, there's no way you could find it in the SoR thread (SoR = Sea of Red).

So I figured a new thing... at 1:00 a.m. ::thinking::

In one given day, depending on how busy I am or the amount of tweets, there can be 3 or 4 posts for the same subject, which means transferring 3 or 4 posts at the end of the day for, say, Ghost Town...

So what I'm going to do now is make my first Ghost Town post as a quote (to conserve time/date stamp) as PART ONE. If later in the day, I make a second post for GT, I'll bring in the first one in so that there's still only one post but with PART ONE and PART TWO now... and so on and so forth throughout the day.

By bringing in the previous PARTS into the newest post, you'll know that something has been added because it will show as an 'unread post' (red topic title) and you'll know to go look, but to only go to the last PART of that "subject".

At the end of the day, I will have 5 or 6 posts to transfer to their individual threads because that's basically all I ever touch in one day.

At the other end of the spectrum, the posts brought into the specific threads from the SoR will certainly be easy to spot and scroll past if you've already read the stuff in the SoR.

Hope this makes everyone happy and it makes me feel better that, in months from now, we will be able to go find stuff on any given subject in the individual threads!

Now, it's 3:30 a.m. and my work here is done!

::hysterical::

ETA: I've done this for all the posts from Sunday and Monday.

It's a time zone that you have to set in your user control panel, you should set it to your own zone ::hello::

It doesn't have to be YOUR city, just a city in YOUR time zone!
