IMO the band did not even play - sounded like backing tracks.

There is no way DMG would send him there if not really good $$$$$ is involved. Many stars are doing these corporate gigs - I am happy that Adam is seen as famous and interesting enough to perform at this Mercedes event, they are a market leader in their branch.
