FYI, there was some discussion last week re whether the Idol retrospective show on April 5 was live or not. Its confirmed that it is not a live show. Its a taped special. Looks like they will show lots of clips from over the years, show interviews with people associated with the show, etc. Since we know Adam will not be at the live finale shows (he will be in Toronto shooting RHPS), it is possible he taped a message or something for the special. Regardless I am sure he will be shown in some clips or something on the special.

Yes, exactly. He was a big part of the show & its success, so how could they NOT have him on?

AI is where he welcomed us to his life......

He knew he would be of help to the ones out there that were like him

By performing it on AI....that was his final farewell tribute to AI

Is anyone watching this seasons competition? Last night was one of the best nights in a long long time. They performed Classic Rock and Sia songs. I thought the Sia songs would be difficult but they (4 of them) pulled it off.

When the season began I thought it was Dalton's to lose, then LaPorsha became the frontrunner. But,everything changed in one night. Trent had one of those nights where everything just fell into place and he had two A+ performances....

Yes, I'm watching. MacKenzie had a really bad night which was too bad because he is really good. I am not really impressed with Dalton, although they seem to be pimping him and wasn't surprised that he has been in the bottom 2 for the last two weeks. But having said that he probably will be one of the top 3 unless Mckenzie's fans really go all out and vote. LaPorcha and Trent should definitely be in the top 3 unless we have a shocker. My pick for winning is LaPorcha. She is amazing but that is JMO. Vocals still appear not to mean anything.

Dalton was really interesting and good when the season started. But he hasn't lived up to the expectations. I actually like all four of them. When it ended last night I thought 'that's the right top 4'. LaPorsha is great and it has seemed for the last few weeks it was hers to lose. But, I've been a fan of Trent since the Hollywood rounds and, like I said, last night was one of those nights where things quickly turn and go in another direction. Which I'm perfectly happy with.

Honestly, I don't care which one of them wins. I've never cared who wins. I watch for the music and the entertainment. And although they are rushing through this season, it's been entertaining. I think it's going to be a LaPorsha/Trent finale which means that which ever one of them wins, Idol ends it's run with a deserving and really talented winner.

I honestly thought so too. Right top 4, for sure. Having said that, I do hope that Dalton or Trent wins.
